Adult & Youth VBS If you’ve wanted to take a summer vacation, but you just don’t want to spend the money on an expensive trip, then this is the event you’ve been waiting for! We will gather each Sunday evening in July at 6:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center gym and journey Into the Wild where we will experience some amazing encounters with Jesus. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Adult VBS, you will be surprised to discover that it includes many of the favorite activities that children enjoy at their VBS including snacks, games, prizes, and Bible Study! Take a look at the four sessions that will be included in this year’s VBS:

Sunday, July 7th Session 1 Encounter in the Temple (Taught by the Empty Nest Class)

Sunday, July 14th Session 2 Encounters on the Water (Taught by the 39 & Holding Class)

Sunday, July 21st Session 3 Encounter at the Tomb (Taught by Gail’s Gals)

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY The food for the month is snack items, which can include peanut butter crackers, microwave popcorn bags, popsicles to be frozen, etc… Food items may be placed in the brown box located across from the kitchen.

BIBLE STUDY ON SUNDAY MORNINGS If you are interested in becoming involved in a Sunday School Class at FBC, all classes begin at 9:40 a.m. for preschool children, youth and adults each Sunday morning before

worship begins at 11:00 a.m. In all of our classes we offer opportunities for discovery, review, and interaction as we share God’s principles. Let us help you connect with the small group that is just right for you.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD FULL CIRCLE SPEAKER, JAMACIA DAVID, WILL SHARE HER STORY SUNDAY,

AUGUST 18 We are privileged to have an Operation Christmas Child Full Circle Speaker, Jamacia David, on Sunday morning, August 18, during the morning worship service. She will share her story of how she became a follower of Jesus Christ and how God has blessed her through the simple gift of an

Operation Christmas Child shoebox.

FBC CHILDREN & PRESCHOOL

VOLUNTEERS We are looking forward to an exciting year of new opportunities in FBC

Children’s Ministry areas through Sunday school, Extended Session,

and Wednesday night’s Kids on Mission. FBC Children’s Ministry

wants to offer our volunteers the opportunity to attend the ReGroup

Conference August 17 at Haughton FBC, (9 a.m.-3 p.m.). We will leave

the church at 6:30 a.m. and buses will be available or you can take your

own car. The Children’s Ministry budget will cover your cost of

attendance and lunch will be provided.

All volunteers are encouraged to attend this great training opportunity.
