TODAY: 1) THE FLOWERS: at the pulpit are provided by the Siegels thanking the Lord for their anniversary. 2) MEMORIAL SERVICE: friends of Betty Wheeler are invited to an open house memorial service from 4:00pm to 6:00pm this afternoon at the fellowship hall of the Calimesa SDA Church. 3) SERVING HANDS MINISTRY: 5:00pm in the fellowship hall. NEXT WEEK: 4) PRAYER MINISTRY TEAM BREAKFAST: Sunday, at 9:00am at Vera Miller’s home. 5) SENIORS: Tuesday, outing to Redlands Bowl. We will leave the church at 6:30pm in carpools. Please see insert. 6) STUDY GROUP: Wednesday 10:30am in the overflow room. We are doing a special study and/or review of “the Discover Bible Studies” by The Voice of Prophecy with guidance in presenting them to others. 7) THE FINANCE COMMITTEE: will be on Thursday, August 16 at 7:00 pm instead of Tuesday. 8) MAD ABOUT MARRIAGE SEMINAR DRESS REHEARSAL MEETING: Thursday, August 16th from 6-7pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you are volunteering in any way during the Mad about Marriage seminar please plan to attend: Registration, Greeters/Ushers, Kitchen staff, Children’s Program, Audio/Visual, Special Music, etc. We will be discussing each area’s responsibilities. Thank you in advance for your help in making this seminar successful! 9) MAD ABOUT MARRIAGE: Friday and Sabbath, August 17 & 18. Free marriage seminar with Mike & Gayle Tucker. See insert for more information. 10) SERVING HANDS MINISTRY: next Sabbath at 5:00pm. 11) SENIORS: will be having a vespers and potluck at Flaghill Park Sabbath, August 18th, at 6:00pm. There is no potluck after church but at Flaghill Park. The speaker has changed because of unforeseen circumstances.

UPCOMING EVENTS FOR CHURCH CALENDAR: 12) PUC SPECIAL SESSION MEETING: August 19th. There will be a live stream available for you to participate in that will begin at 1pm PST. You may also go to http://session.adventistfaith.org and select the last item on the navigation bar, “Watch Session Live.” 13) SPECIAL INVITATION: The Page family is planning a special weekend for Victor’s 80th birthday and his and LaVerta’s 50th wedding anniversary August 25 & 26th. There will be a reception Sunday afternoon August 26th, at 2:00pm at the church fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome. 14) SECC FALL 2012 RETIREE RETREAT: September 17-19 at PSR. See poster in lobby for more information. Talent Show- August 12 (Tomorrow)

The youth are invited to come and enjoy time with their friends in the Youth Center to show off their talents. On Sunday August 12th at 7PM- 9PM we are

hosting a talent show for the youth. Registration is required. Your Talents may be cool. They may be crazy. They may not seem possible to do. But

Kayaking- August 19 (change of date)Come join us (YOUTH ONLY) as we go down to Balboa Beach for the day to spend time together with friends, and maybe even meet some new friends, as we kayak through the marina and have fun in the water. It's time to stay cool!!! We will be meeting in the church parking lot @ 9:00am. Please bring money for lunch or bring a lunch with you. Revive Small Group Bible Study- End of August

If you want to study God’s word but have no idea where to start come to Revive Small groups. We will see what the Bible has to say about relevant issues of today for teenagers.
