AUBURN LINEUP VS. FLORIDA Depth is the name of the game for the Tigers in 2018 as each event is expected to be at least 10 gymnasts deep. The tentative lineup for Friday's meet features five juniors, three sophomores, and five freshmen.

The Tigers begin the evening on vault and are led by sophomore Gracie Day and freshmen Drew Watson and Jada Glenn. The trio are capable of putting together three-straight 10.0 vaults for the squad. Sophomore Katie Becker will lead off the event with juniors A'Miracal Phillips and Taylor Krippner following.

Auburn moves on to bars for rotation two with Watson opening up the event after earning a career-best 9.875 vs. Kentucky last week. Krippner follows, while steady sophomore Kendal Moss holds down the third position. Redshirt junior Abby Milliet is slated to go with Day fifth. Junior Samantha Cerio will anchor the event and is among the nation’s best on bars early on the season, averaging a 9.894.

Rotation three will have freshman Allie Riddle lead off for the fourth-straight meet with Cerio and classmate Meredith Sylvia following. Riddle and Sylvia each set a career best last week vs. Kentucky with a 9.85 each. Redshirt sophomore Emma Slappey follows, while Milliet and Krippner will close out the rotation. Milliet captured the event title last week a 9.9.

AU will feature a youthful squad on floor as freshman Ashley Smith and Watson bring the energy in the first two slots. Cerio, Slappey, Day are set to go third, fourth, and fifth and Milliet will anchor the event.

SWINGING ON UP With its season-best 49.350 on bars vs. Kentucky last week, Auburn upped its season average to 49.006 and ranks 12th nationally in the event.

Junior Samantha Cerio has been a rockstar for the Tigers on bars this season. She has won at least a share of the event title in all four meets competed and ranks tied for 11th nationally with a 9.894 average.

THE RETURN OF ABBY MILLIET After suffering from a season-ending injury early in 2017, redshirt junior Abby Milliet has really started to rise back up for Auburn gymnastics this season.

The Denton, Texas, product has the team's top scores on both beam (9.925) and floor (9.900) and has captured three-straight beam titles for the Tigers. In addition to getting stronger on bars, Milliet's rock solid presence has been useful for the young team.

Inside the Matchup

ROCKING THE VAULT Vault hasn't been the top event for Auburn recently with the changes to start values over the last couple years. However, a crop of new athletes have brought new degrees of difficulty to the lineup and giving the squad some of it's best scores in the event as of late.

"We've brought in a lot of young people who can not only vault well, but also bring 10.0 start values to the lineup," Graba said. "Vault should be one of our better events now and its not only showing in our score, but in the confidence of the athletes."

The team ranks 10th nationally at 49.019 with freshman Jada Glenn and sophomore Gracie Day among the Top 50 in the country in the event.

FRESHMEN CONTRIBUTORS The Tigers are already seeing big numbers from the youngest team members this year as five freshmen have contrib-uted in major ways in every event.

Drew Watson has earned a slot in three lineups, competing on bars, vault, and now floor. She's earned a 9.875 on her 10.0 vault twice this season and picked up a career-best on bars last week with another 9.875.

Jada Glenn anchors the vault lineup with a 10.0 vault and is averaging a 9.844, while Allie Riddle is leading off on beam. Riddle, of Mobile, Ala., earned a career-best 9.85 against the Wildcats last Friday.

Also adding to the team score is Ashley Smith and Meredith Sylvia. The pair each picked up a career high vs. Kentucky on Friday with Sylvia earning a 9.85 on beam. Smith led off on floor with a 9.85 for the Tigers.

LAST TIME OUT - A 196.250 VS. NO. 6 KENTUCKY Auburn put together a 196.250 in Auburn Arena Friday night, falling to No. 6 Kentucky's 196.700.

Rotation two had AU reach a season-best 49.35 on bars. Samantha Cerio picked up her fourth-straight event title with a 9.9. Abby Milliet followed with a season-best 9.875, while Drew Watson set a career best with another 9.875. Taylor Krippner, competing in the event for the first time this season, put together a 9.85 with Gracie Day also adding a 9.85.

Auburn kicked off the meet on vault with a 49.05. Day and Jada Glenn each earned a 9.85, while A'Miracal Phillips had a sea-son-best 9.8. Katie Becker and Krippner added a 9.775 apiece.

Rotation three moved the Tigers to beam where a pair of fresh-men highlighted the event. Allie Riddle led off with a career-best 9.85 and Meredith Sylvia added another 9.85 in the third slot. Milliet took home even title with a season high 9.9.

The final rotation saw some last minute changes to the lineup for Auburn as Ashley Smith and Watson were plugged into the event. Smith led off with a career-best 9.85, while Milliet anchored with another 9.9 for another title. Cerio added a 9.875 and Becker chipped in a 9.75. Watson's 9.4 contributed to the team total.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE Auburn's 2018 schedule once again ranks in the Top 10 among the toughest schedules in the nation.

Auburn will face eight teams ranked in the Top 25 of the NACGC/W Preseason Poll, including match ups with four teams who competed in 2017's Super Six - Georgia (Jan. 19), Florida (Feb. 2), Alabama (Feb. 23 & March 9), and LSU (March 4).

HOME SWEET HOME Home advantage has been and will continue to be a big factor for the Tigers this season as the squad hopes to add more sellouts (7,424) to its growing list. The program once again reached new heights in season ticket sales, eclipsing 1,625 so far. That totaled bested the 2017 record of 1,591.

Auburn set a new high for home-opening attendance in Auburn Arena, having 6,441 fans at the team's victory vs. Missouri. That total is second-highest all time in AU home openers.

The Tigers will host four of its seven SEC meets at home in Auburn Arena, including contests against three Top 15 teams in Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky.

UP NEXT The Tigers take to the road for a full weekend, taking on a pair of opponents away from the Plains. Auburn first visits Arkansas for an SEC Meet, Feb. 9, in Fayetteville before facing Texas Woman's University Sunday, Feb. 11, in Denton, Texas.

GYMNAST TO WATCH: TAYLOR KRIPPNER›› Junior Taylor Krippner competed on bars for the first time vs. Kentucky last week after having shoulder surgery in the off-season. She picked up where she left off in 2017 and scored a 9.85 on her first routine of the year.

Three-time SEC Coach of the Year Jeff Graba enters his eighth season at the helm of the Auburn gymnastics program in 2018 and has guided the Tigers record heights during his time on The Plains.

For his efforts over the past seven seasons, the Minnesota native was named SEC Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015 and SEC co-Coach of the Year in 2012.

Graba and the 2016 team added to the list of rsts for the program under his guidance. The Tigers snapped the 117-meet losing skid to Alabama in February of that season, defeating the Crimson Tide at home (197.275-197.250). Auburn also defeated Georgia in Athens for the rst time in program history, setting a new program-high road score on the way (197.325).

In addition, the Tigers earned the program's rst No. 1 NCAA regional seed and captured the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional title with a 196.525.

Graba was named Auburn head coach on August 16, 2010. He came to The Plains after spending ve years as an assistant coach at Utah. While with the Utes, he was named the 2009 West Region Assistant Coach of the Year while coaching bars, collaborating on oor routines and serving as the recruiting coordinator.
