Absolute Focus-
An In-depth Shooting Sports Camp
Date: June 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11
Time: 1:00 -4:00 p.m.
Place: Edgerton Center, Aurora

Recurve bows, compound bows and air guns will be the focus of this camp. Campers will get a chance to get hands-on while they shoot, build, and explore all areas of shooting sports from archery to air guns. Campers will utilize hands-on labs while learning about the history of firearms and hunting. They will also learn about the science of gunpowder and will even get to make their own ammunition. Ending the week, campers will get to recreate one of Harold “Doc” Edgerton’s high-speed photography prints of them firing their bow. This is a all hands-on camp and a don’t miss opportunity for anyone interested in shooting sports.

Led by community entrepreneurs, UN-L Extension, and 4-H, a camp will be held 3 days in Central City. The camp will help youth interested in entrepreneurship start a business plan while meeting and visiting with entrepreneurs, bankers, and business owners. The camp is open to 7-8-9 graders. If you have any questions, please contact the Nebraska Extension Office in Merrick County at (308)946-3843. Application review will begin on May 12. Applicants will be notified by May 24th if they are accepted into the camp.
