For 27 Years, APSE has been the only national

organization with an exclusive focus on integrated

employment and career advancement opportunities for

individuals with disabilities. APSE is a national nonprofit

membership organization, founded in 1988 as the

Association for Persons in Supported Employment, now

known as the Association of People Supporting

EmploymentFirst!

Our Members are a diverse group of individuals from

around the world who share the same vision of

integrated employment for people with disabilities, but from different perspectives. Our membership and

conference attendees include employers, citizens with disabilities, family members, university faculty and

students, vocational rehabilitation counselors, mental health agency personnel, employment service

providers, researchers and other individuals interested in EmploymentFirst.

The National APSE Conference brings together businesses, individuals with disabilities and community leaders

from across the country and around the world to network and discuss state-of-the-art strategies to ensure

equitable employment for citizens with disabilities.

Based on past conference attendance, we anticipate 1000 registrants this year! Last year, the APSE

Conference brought together representatives from 47 United States and Washington D.C., Canada, Singapore,

Chiba, China, Saipan, Puerto Rico, Pakistan, Turkey and Finland!

ABOUT APSE

PRE-CONFERENCE DAY & BREAKOUT SESSIONS

Pre-Conference sessions will be held on Monday June 20th 2016

followed by two days of high quality, interactive breakout

sessions. Featured sessions will focus on state-of-the-art

practices in integrated employment in the areas of Public Policy,

Mental Health, Organizational & Systems Change, Family & Self

Advocacy and more! Breakout sessions will be offered in the

following variety of styles: traditional topical breakout sessions,

APSE & Lightening Talks, moderated panels, Conversations that Matter

(short presentations, followed by open discussions) and finally, open space

for networking.

NATIONAL AWARDS

APSE’s prestigious National Awards will be announced during the all-

conference general sessions: Opening Keynote, Luncheon Keynote and

Closing Keynote. Nominees from around the country will be honored and

recognized for their work in advancing EmploymentFirst!

EXHIBITORS

Approximately 30 Exhibitors from across the country will be showcasing

the latest tools, products and research for enhancing and

expanding integrated employment. Attendees will have access

to the exhibitors throughout the duration of the conference!

NETWORKING

The 2016 National APSE Conference will provide space and time

for networking for the anticipated 1000 attendees from all over

the world. There is dedicated time during each day of the

conference for folks to meet and connect and share!
