    PurposeThe ATS quote application will assist ATS sales reps inproviding quotes to customers for both screenprinting andsignage jobs during their face-to-face interactions with them

     AudienceThis application will be used strictly by ATS salesrepresentatives.

     AccessibilityBecause this application will be used strictly by ATS sales reusers will be prompted by a login page when opening in theapplication so that only ATS sales representatives will haveaccess to the information contained within the application.

    Concept

    The ATS quote application will allow ATS sales reps from allover the country to login via their personal iPhones and inputinformation pertaining to a potential customers’s order in ordto provide them with a quote for their screenprinting and/orsignage project. ATS sales representatives will have all of theinformation necessary to give customers a timely and accuraquote for their screenprinting or signage job – right at theirngertips. The application will also serve as a tool for sendinand storing quote information.

     About ATS ATS Printing has been providing customized apparel and

    promotional products to both local and national customersfor 25 years. ATS oers a full line of services, including screen

    printing, embroidery, digital printing, promotional products andfulllment. All screen printing, embroidery, and digital printing

    is performed within our facility, giving us greater control of theproduction process, quality and customer service.

    The ATS LogoThe ATS logo is designed using two elements: the wordmarkand the tagline:

    The elements of the logo may not be altered or manipulated inany other way beyond their original design. It is acceptable touse the ATS logo with or without the tagline.

     Acceptable Logo Color UseThree-color PMS, four-color process (CMYK), one color (black),one-color PMS 349 or Cool Grey 9 and reverse (white) are theonly approved color versions for the ATS logo. When four colorprocess is available, the logo should appear in CMYK.

    Prototype Overview

    User Thought ProcessThe main users of this application – ATS sales reps – will be

    primarily considering the customer when using this applicati ATS sales reps will want to be able to easi ly move through thapplication’s processes while meeting with a customer andgathering the necessary information about their order. Oncethey have gathered and inputed said information, the sales rewill have want an accurate quote displayed to them for them quickly and conveniently relay to the customer.

    Navigation SystemThe ATS quote application utilizes a tree navigation system.Each page of the application displays the users options in a

    vertical “tree”, and each of the items contained within this “trcan be expanded on. This allows for quick and easy navigatiothroughout the application.

    Screen GridThe screen grid remains relatively the same throughout theapplication. Each screen contains an identifying icon at the tof the screen, followed by a short instruction below to guideusers through the application. Beyond that, users will nd eit

    Main FeaturesThe main feature of this application will be its ability to give ATS sales reps an accurate quote for a screen printing and/orsignage job based on specic factors such as but not limited to

    the size of the job, color use and styles and/or materials used.

    Usability Study 

    Each application screen was hand sketched, and each of theapplication sketches were utilized to perform a usability stud

     A sketch of every page featured in the application was uploato InVision, and set up so that users could navigate throughthe application as if it were actually live and useable. Overall,the usability test went well. I received positive feedback inregards to my basic navigation set up. Of course, each user suggestions for how the prototype could be improved.

    User Suggestions for Improvement

    » Users believed that the order conrmation page could be

    more clear. It was suggested that each selection made by the

    customer contain a heading on this page – i.e. the sectioncontaining the colors selected needs to be labeled “colorselection” as opposed to simply listing the colors.

    » Some suggested that the archive page allow users to edit ore-order past and/or existing orders.

    » It was suggested that users be able to send orders to multie-mail addresses in the event that the company ordering woulike a copy of the quote and/or the sales rep would want to sethe quote to multiple customer service reps.

    Typography and Color System

    TypographyThe typeface Helvetica Neue was selected for use for thisapplication. The selection of Helvetica Neue allows foralignment with the iPhone operating system and easy readingfor any iPhone user, as Helvetica Neue is a very conventionaltypeface. Helvetica Neue will surely communicate a clean,professional interface within the iPhone operating system.

     Application Icons

    Main Icons

    The main icons include home, get a quote, archive and cart.The icons are constructed as outlines for simplicity, and eachmaintains a consistent line weight for unity. Each of these iconsappears at the top of their respective screens to make it easyfor users to understand what they’re viewing.

    Secondary IconsThe secondary icons are treated the same as the main icons interms of design. The secondary icons include screenprintingand signage. These icons, like the main icons, appear on thetop of their respective screens. As users are going through thequote process, these icons serve as an easy identier so users

    are able to quickly understand what category of quote they’regenerating.

     Application Layout

    The application is well organized via referencing previously drawn

    screen grids. The grids ensure consistency and unity throughoutthe application. Two main layouts occur – one that appears whenusers are asked to make a selection and one one when usersare inputing information.

    Each screen contains both its identifying icon on the top of

    the screen and a short instruction to guide users through theprocesses. When inputing information, users will always beprompted to continue to the next step by a button on the verybottom of the screen.
