PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, hosts twice a year on more than 22,000 square meters, the major Parisian event about mangas and Sci-Fi.

With over 150,000 visitors each year, PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is the appointment of all fans, amateurs and professionals of manga, Asian culture, video games, TV shows, movies and comics.

It is also an opportunity for the public to discover new worlds in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

For this new edition, children and adults will discover, by themselves, in group or in family, new activities and animations, many shops and publishers, and will of course meet prestigious guests from all around the world.

Manga and anime universe is now everywhere in our daily life and are an integrated part of our culture since many years. France is the second biggest mangas consumer, just behind Japan.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW allows visitors, fans and beginners to discover theses universes through entertainment, activities, shops and publishers, through which they can discover a multitude of products from these topics (DVD, books, plushs, figurines, clothing ...).

It is also the opportunity for the public to meet our guests from most prestigious animation studios and Japanese publishing houses.Some remember of the coming of Shingo Araki, chara designer of Saint Seiya or Masaru Gotsubo (Samurai Champloo). More recently, we had Masashi Kudo chara designer of the successful anime Bleach.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW has also been fortunate to receive many chara designers, mecha designers, directors such as Mamoru Yokota (Death Note), Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop), Yasuhiro Irie (Full Metal Alchemist) or Shigeto Koyama (Ghost in the Shell). In october 2015, Yoshitaka Amano, this genius illustrator, honored us of his presence, for the pleasure of all his fans.

In November 2016, Tetsuro Araki, Tetsuya Nakatake, Maiko Okada and Yasuyuki Ebara from WIT Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) came and, last edition, the successful mangaka Kiyo Kyujyo (Trinity Blood) was there (world premiere).

MANGA AND JAPANIMATION

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is also an area dedicated to video games.

On free play or in competitions organized during the show, everyone can test their favorite games or compete against real arcade champions.

The public can also find all the news and exclusives, as it has been the case during the previous editions including the spaces of Bandai Namco Entertainment, Nintendo, R-Cade Cup and Warner Video Games.

All the fans can also meet our guests from the video games world with demonstrations and signing’s sessions (Dina, Marcus, Siphano, Bob Lennon, Joueur du grenier, Kayane, Benzaie, Frigiel, Sora, Guillaume & Kim, ...).

The convention has 4 stages welcoming during the whole week-end showcases, concerts, panels, cosplays, dance and video games contests...

The SCI-FI SHOW aims to put the spotlight on movies, TV series, comic books, but also everything related to fantasy and science fiction.

Fans of Spiderman, Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter Walking Dead will find their happiness in derivatives’ products and complete their collections of comic books through the booths of the biggest European specialists.

SCI-FI SHOW also hosts authors and illustrators of comic books from around the world. Bob Layton (Iron Man), Art Suydan (Marvel Zombies), Bob MacLeod (New Mutants), Fabian Niecieza (Deadpool), Alan Davies (Excalibur), Mike Ploog (Ghost Rider) or Pat Mills (Requiem) have already made the trip to the delight of our visitors.

It is also an opportunity to have their photo taken alongside icones like Pamela Anderson and Richard Dean Anderson. And also with their favorite movie heroes and TV series.Christopher Lloyd aka «Doc Brown» from Back To The Future, Christopher Judge (Teal’c in Startage), Michael Shanks (Dr. Jackson in Stargate SG1), Anthony Daniels (C3PO in Star Wars) or Dave Prowse (Darth Vader in Star Wars) have already responded present in previous editions.In 2017, for Buffy The Vampire Slayer 20th anniversary, we were very pleased to receive James Marsters, Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter and Juliet Landau...

Since 2013, the lastests ones were Melissa McBride (Carol) and Robert Singleton (T-Dog) of the blockbuster series The Walking Dead, Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) and Natalia Tena (The savage Osha) from the series Game of Thrones and Sylvester McCoy who played one of the famous Doctor Who.

Without forgetting Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) or John Rhys Davis (The Lord Of The Rings), Nicholas Lea (X-Files), Harry Melling and Stanislav Ianevski (Harry Potter) or the team of Power Rangers Megaforce were on the SCI-FI SHOW.

SCI-FI SHOW

CULTURE, ANIMATIONS AND ACTIVITIES

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, it’s also many activities for people to discover traditional Asian cultures, as well as entertainment to immerse themselves in the world of manga and make them spend unforgettable moments.

Among the activities, the most popular is none other than the famous Cosplay, true institution to recreate the costumes of characters from manga, video games, comic books and even iconic characters from movies and TV series. Karaoke, concerts and fashion shows featuring the latest creations of our young designers, among others will complete the many activities available from the public.

For the culture part, Ikebana workshops, calligraphy, origami, drawing, but also introductions to Go, Mahjong allow visitors to discover and to better understand some aspects of this rich Asian and particularly Japanese culture.

Martial arts will be featured with demonstrations of Karate, Ninjutsu, Aikido or Hai Dong taking place throughout the weekend. The more adventurous visitors can learn the art of fighting with true professionals.

TV series and science-fiction fans can also spend time dreaming with the different animations dédicacted to Star Wars and cars from TV series and movies.

Since its creation PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW has continued to see its reputation growing through communication operations’ and partnerships’ in place following a huge ads schedule in all kind of medias.

A communication campaign (press, radio, television...) is deployed throughout the year. Two months before the event, promotion of the show is enhanced by several marketing operations in various medias.

PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW is also strengthened by its presence on the web. Its website has become the most important information source for visitors, including numerous newsletters and all the social networks in constant interaction with our community of fans.

Known for hosting the most prestigious events, the Parc des Expositions Porte de Versailles also opens its doors to PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW for March 07th and 08th of 2020.

At the gates of Paris, the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles offers many opportunities for access, metro, tram and bus. The site is also easily accessible by car and Velib’, more parking available.

CHAIRS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE STAND.USE THE REGISTRATION FORM TO ORDER.

The stands reserved exclusively for associations fanzines (n°300 to 320) have of a surface of 4m² (2mx2m) and have a price of 250€ without corner and 340€ with corner.They will be assigned as requests come in. This amount also covers the administrative costs, the furniture(back partitioning only and a 2 meters long table) and two weekend pass for the two people in charge of the stand.

To benefit of this stand, you must respect the following conditions :

1. To be an association or a fanzine (if you have not filed a status in the Journal Officiel as an association, but you have an associative activity, you will still be accepted and registered as an individual and benefit from the assocition/fanzine rate).2. Only promote on the stand the creations of the fanzine or the association.3. Only sell on the stand the products made by the association or the fanzine used to finance the latter (drawing, badges, cards, fanzines ...) and with a price of 15€ maximum.4. Do not sell goodies, clothes, manga, DVD, CD or any other derivative product sold by the shop stand which don’t beneficiate from this preferential price.5. Have an activity connected to the thematic of PARIS MANGA or SCI-FI SHOW.6. Not to be an association whose activity is to promote other events.7. Not to be a shop with associative status 8. Not to be a creator with associative status offering a collection or a range of clothing.9. Not to be a magazine or a free press title, with associative status, distributed or sold at regional or national level.

If during the event our team notice one of these conditions is not respected we allow ourselves the right to have your stand closed.

Our team provide you a folder, «Installing and uninstalling the event PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW», two weeks before the event to your e-mail address provided during registration. In it, you will find all the information to prepare your arrival at the show (schedules, address, dooraccess, constraints of the Exhibition Center of Porte de Versailles ...).If you don’t receive that file one week before the show, please contact us so we can send it to you again.

After receiving your application, our exhibitor department will confirm your registration and send you your invoice by email. Administrative processing varies between 2 to 3 weeks after receipt.Please check your spam box before any claim.

-ARTICLE 1-PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW, event dedicated to manga, anime, science-fiction and comics, on March 07th and 08th

2020 at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles Hall 3, is organised by ABYSSIUM S.A.R.L. The promoter keeps the right to accept or refuse subscriptions without justification. The promoter can exclude any exhibitor that doesn’t follow the rules, doesn’t sell products corresponding to the event subjects, or disturb the event progress, without being asked for refunding or compensation.

-ARTICLE 2-Only the exhibitor that has fullfilled and sent back the exhibitor’s form, as well as the PARIS MANGA & SCI-FI SHOW rules, will be admitted. The exhibitor has no right to re-rent or give a part or their complete booth, and will have to occupy the space with their own products. Will be admitted as exhibitors : professionals, associations, fanzines, and individuals. A copy of registration (for professionals), or status (for associations), or ID card (for individuals) will be needed for the subscription (copy will have to be included with the exhibitor’s form and rules). Any incomplete form or without the needed copies won’t be handled.

-ARTICLE 3-For the install, the hall will be opened to the exhibitors from 8.00 am on Friday March 06h 2020 from 7.00 am on Saturday March 07th 2020 and Sunday March 08th 2020. Exhibitors will have to finish installing before the public opening at 8.30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Exhibitors make the commitment to stay until the end of the event, and not uninstalling before 6.00 pm on Sunday.

-ARTICLE 4-The exhibitors’ vehicles, during the install, must be parked on the specific areas. Vehicles should always be removed after unloading before installation in the showroom. The unloading area will be closed to any vehicle from 8.15 am on Saturday and Sunday. A parking lot is available for any exhibitor that want to park his vehicle during the event (at his own cost). Other parking lots are available on the streets around the convention center. The promoter disclaims all liability if any vehicle is the object of theft or degradation.

-ARTICLE 5-Exhibitors must not go over the limits of their booth, or disturb the visitors’ traffic on the dedicated paths. The addition of table or other material is only authorized in the limits of the booth. Any modification of tables, walls or material must be appoved by the promoter. The promoter keeps the right to refuse without justification, any change that can be harmful to the image of the event, or disturbing the event’s progress.

-ARTICLE 6-The exhibitors must only put on their booth (tables or floor) fireproof fabric (M1) and have to respect the security’s rules of the event that they will receive, sign and resend.

-ARTICLE 7-The exhibitors and their teams are responsible for any incident, theft, or any other inconvenience that can happen to themselves or to their stuff during the event (including unloading, delivery, install, uninstall and opening periods), as well as the incident that they can cause to others. The exhibitors have to insure at their own cost their products, material, furnitures and employees, and must subscribe a third-party insurance during the event (including unloading, delivery, install, uninstall and opening periods).

-ARTICLE 8-The exhibitors must only sell their own products, that will correspond to the event subjects, and are respecting the european’s legislation (unofficial products are not allowed). If there is a positive observation of unofficial products, we would have to report to the beneficiaries. The promoter keeps the right to remove from the booths, the non-authorized products or products that doesn’t respect rules and text about selling on the French territory. The exhibitors cannot sell foodstuff without approval from the promoter.

-ARTICLE 9-Any animation, data collection, or sound broadcasting must be approved by the promoter. Promotion for any other event on the exhibitor’s booth must be approved by the promoter. Distribution of flyers inside or outside of the show must be approved by the promoter.

-ARTICLE 10-Exhibitors agree to open their booth maximum at the public opening (8.30am on Saturday and Sunday) and not to leave their equipment in the aisles on the public opening. A fixed penalty of 300€ will be applied if this commitment is not respected.

-ARTICLE 11-In case of cancellation of the exhibitor’s participation, or in the case of a no-show at the opening time (8.30 am on Saturday and Sunday), the amount already paid is kept by the promoter, that can dispose freely of the concerned booth. The exhibitor can cancel his booth during the 14 days that follow his subscription, and so being refunded (cancellation fees : 10%).In case on cancellation of the event, amount paid will be refunded to the exhibitors without any penalty. The promoter keeps the right to change hall/booth location, giving him an equivalent or superior hall/booth, without justification or penalty. This change doesn’t give the right of cancellation without penalty for the exhibitor.

-ARTICLE 12-Foodstuff is ruled to specific conditions and must be approved by the promoters.

-ARTICLE 13-The presence of guests on your booth must be approved by the promoter.
