In addition,the student musicians learned to listen to one anotherclosely in order to execute the composer’s intent.(10/26/2015)

Presentation/Skill Demonstration -The assessment method for thisStudent Learning Outcome, willrequire the student to prepare toperform a piece of Music which iswritten for a 17 piece ensemble. Thesections are as follows (5) Piece Saxsection, (4) Trombones, (4)Trumpets, Piano, Bass, Guitar, andDrums. Students of these variousinstrumental sections will study andplay at performance level this musictogether, which will require them touse proper Balance, Intonation,Dynamics and Phrasing. OliverNelson’s “Stolen Moments” wereone of the compositions used forthis assessment. In this piece theBalance, Intonation, Dynamics andPhrasing has to be played with greatprecision by all musicians involved
