April 14-16, 2011MORGANTOWN, WEST V IRGIN IA
HOSTS THE
American Society of Civil Engineers
The Virginias’ Conference is a regional American Society
of Civil Engineers competition held each spring. Thirteen
schools from Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of
Columbia are invited to compete in different events that
relate to the civil engineering profession. The competitions
are headlined by the two national events, [the steel bridge
and concrete canoe]. First place winners in these events are
eligible to compete in the National ASCE Competition. Each
year a different College or University has the distinct honor
of hosting the Virginias’ Conference. In 2011, West Virginia
University will welcome the eligible participants to
Morgantown. WVU-ASCE looks forward to hosting the
event and is proud to showcase our University, the city
