ART 321 News NEWSLETTER MAY 2018
Letter from Our Director,
Diane Harrop
The June Art Walk raffle prize is a colorful, framed metal
Steamboat bucking horse against a reclaimed wood back-
ground created and donated by Josh Bates. Since June cele-
brates “Art Out West” this special picture will be accompanied
by a “My Wyoming” coffee table book donated to us by Bill
Sniffen. Tickets are already on sale - $5 each or 5 for $20 for
this terrific combination of a beautiful handcrafted item and a
Wyoming book.
Be sure to stop by the ART 321 gallery during May to enjoy Water-
color Celebration month. We have four fantastic shows for you
to view: The 2nd annual Range of Vision Water Media Show fea-
turing artwork from all over Wyoming and beyond; Ellen Black &
Friends and Holly Bryson & Friends, two gifted watercolor in-
structors whose paintings are hung alongside those of their current
and past students; and a solo show by Gloria Ningen Gallegos
that includes paintings reflective of the three locales where she
now spends her time: Casper, Austin and Taos.
The date has been set! ART 321’s yART Sale will be on Satur-
day, June 16, from 8-2. We are still accepting donations of any
unwanted art-related supplies, books, frames or art for this annual
event. We need volunteers to help organize and price items that
have already been received and to help with the sale, so please let
Susie know if you would be willing to help. We’ve been collecting
items all year long and promise that this yART Sale will be even
bigger & better than last year’s.
The ART 321 Wyoming Clay Festival will take place here on Sat-
urday, July 7 from 10-6. In collaboration with Mike Olson at Cas-
per College and Peter Jakubowski at Clay Arts Vegas, ART 321
will host ceramics artists from across Wyoming and the region.
Artists will set up outdoors booths to sell their artwork and offer a
series of demonstrations and hands-on activities for the public.
Anyone interested in registering as a vendor may contact Peter
Jakubowski at: [email protected] or come by ART
321 for more details.

shapes that I couldn’t say any other
way. Georgia O’Keefe
