Kemppi ArcFeed A voltage sensing wire feeder for MIG/MAG welding. A way to transform existing MMA power sources to MIG/MAG
equipment. A small investment but a big step towards productivity. Three models available. One for 200mm and two for 300mm
wire spools. Model 300P with more effective wire drive for welding with thick
wires.
Operation ?Kemppi Arc Feed is designed to operate with both CC (constant current) and CV (constant voltage) power sources.
Operation with power source with CC characteristics? When using with CC type of power source, changes the wire feed speed according to the arc voltage. This feature makes arc voltage more stabile.
Operation with power source with CV characteristics? The CV type of power source is more stabile (voltage regardless of the amperage). It results in a flat volt-amp curve. Wire feeder is not making any adjustments during welding (like wire feed speed). The MIG/MAG welding machines are typically CV type machines.

Adjusting the welding parameters
CC mode: In CC mode the display shows the open-circuit voltage and a
reference value for welding current on the display. The reference value has been determined by using 1.2 flux-cored wire.
Before starting to weld, use the control knob to set the weldingcurrent to match that of the power source.
NOTE: When welding in CC mode, the dynamics setting in the powersource must be at its maximum value.
With the control knob you choose the welding values in the following way:
Adjusting the welding parameters
CV mode: In CV mode the display shows the welding voltage and wire feed speed,
which is in the range of 0-18 m/s (small drive roll) or 0-25 (large drive roll).
Before starting to weld, check the correct values for voltage and wire feed speed in the settings table, and use the control knob to enter the necessary settings in the feeder for wfs and in the power source for voltage and current, if available.
With the control knob you choose the welding values in the following way:

Feeding mechanism is 4-roll SL-500 Wire feed speed is 018m/min (25m/min) or 09m/min (12,5m/min) The device is equipped with a EURO connector for the welding gun. Welding wire types:
Flux-cored wires, 1.2 2.0 mm (2,4mm, 300P) Innershield wires (e.g. AWS E71T-11/E 71T8 Ni1), 1.6 2.0 mm (2,4mm, 300P) Solid wires, dimensions 1.0 1.6 mm
