Preservation of Arbor Greene’s Wetlands Our upland preservation and conservation areas are part of a sensitive ecosystem, and we are required to maintain and protect them in their natural state. The CDD is responsible for, and maintains a 10 foot easement, from the high-water point of the pond into the homeowner’s property and must always have access to those ponds. Residents may not plant within that area, nor may they take away any natural plant material within those boundaries. Residents are responsible for any plant material they may have destroyed within protected conservation areas. The preservation of Arbor Greene’s natural beauty is everyone’s responsibility!

Holiday Lights & Décor The holiday season is almost upon us! With that in mind, the Arbor Greene HOA would like to remind our residents that the installation of holiday lights and décor around the outside of your home should take place no earlier than six weeks prior to the holiday and be removed three weeks after the holiday. Everyone's cooperation is greatly appreciated!

ARBOR GREENE GAZETTE 17

“Home Security for the Holidays”

Many of us are looking forward to a fun holiday season with loved ones. Increase the chances of having a great holiday season by ensuring your home security is in good repair. Locks and Lighting: Repair broken or worn door and window locks and hardware. Consider installing deadbolts, door chimes, security chains, locking pins, etc. Replace or repair broken lamps to deter night time surveillance, vandalism, or break-ins. Consider installing motion sensor lights and automatic photosensitive or day/night timer light switches. Home Alarm System: If your home alarm is monitored, contact your security company to request a free system check. If your alarm is not monitored, perform a system test to ensure all sensors function properly. All windows and doors should be opened monthly to prevent alarm switches from sticking or malfunctioning when tested. Alarm back-up batteries should be replaced about every 2 years to ensure full operation. If you’re unsure if your home has an alarm, look for keypads on walls near your main entrances (front, utility, or garage doors) or master bedroom. NWA can help with many of these issues or questions about your system. Please report suspicious activity by immediately calling the Tampa Police Department (TPD) Suspicious Activity/Non-Emergency number (813-231-6130). If you believe a crime is about to occur or has been committed against person(s) or property, then immediately dial 9-1-1. Always call the TPD from a safe location and do not confront suspicious person(s). If you would like to receive any additional security tips and other relevant information from the TPD, please email your Neighborhood Watch Association (NWA) Coordinators at ArborGreene [email protected]. Joining this email group does not obligate you to NWA activity, but should help your family stay informed and more secure, making AG a better place to live. NWA is an all-volunteer program overseen by the TPD. Paul and Hally Boucher - Neighborhood Watch Association (NWA) Coordinators
