What is D2L?• Commonly referred to as a Learning
Management System or LMS
• D2L is used for most online courses at Austin Peay
• Desire2Learn (D2L) is where your online courses live
• There are 3 types of online courses
• EnhancedThe students and instructor still meet in the classroom for lecture, but use D2L for supplementary materials.
• HybridThe classroom is only used part of the time for instruction, D2L is used the other.
• Fully OnlineThese classes are designated by a “W ” on the section name. There is no classroom meeting time, all instruction occurs through D2L.
How to be Successful• Username issues? Check for the CAPS LOCK• Forgot Password? Click on Forgot Password• Run the System Check before logging in• Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome• Submit course work using MS Office
compatible formats.• Check D2L Email at least every 48 hours• Schedule time in your day for online classes• Log into class at least every 48 hours• ASK QUESTIONS
