Vocabulary: Hydration-supply water or liquid to in order
to maintain a healthy balance in your body Begin Your Day With WaterDrink a glass of water upon waking
Add Some Flavor- Put some fresh fruit on the bottom of your glass or add a dashof lemon, orange or berry juice.
Set a Schedule- Setting a schedule, such as a glass of water when you wake upand before bed, along with one with each meal, ensures you receive what your bodycraves.
Fill a Water Bottle -Fill a water bottle and take it with you. Carry it by your side atall times, taking a few sips here and there throughout the day.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables -Fruits and vegetables contain a large amount ofwater, therefore, try to include as many servings with your meals as possible. Mostprocessed foods decrease the water supply in your body; replacing these with fruits
and veggies prevents dehydration from occurring.
Increase Intake During Exercise- Drink water before, during and after yourworkout. Sweat is a water loss.
Signs of Dehydration- Recognizing the signs of dehydration is as important astaking the steps to prevent it. If you produce little or no urine or urine that is darkerthan usual, seek medical attention. Other signs include extreme thirst, fatigue, dry
mouth, confusion and feeling dizzy or lightheaded.

HydrationWhen you're well hydrated, you feel more energeticand alert, your muscles work more efficiently andyour organs are better able to flush out toxins.
Proper hydration also helps maintain normal bodytemperature and appropriate electrolyte (salt)balance.
Drinking water can help relieve feelings of hunger,because at times, people mistake thirst sensationsfor hunger sensations. Staying hydrated reducessuch episodes, which can contribute to betterappetite regulation and control.
