Dr. Anne BrileyANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER OF MT. PLEASANT
I was that irritating child who told anyone and
everyone that she would be a veterinarian
when she grew up. Growing up on the Isle of
Palms, I had dogs, cats, lizards, horned toads
and an occasional baby bird. After 31 years in
Veterinary medicine, I still enjoy going to work
everyday. I have a son who just graduated from
South Carolina, a French bulldog named Dolly,
a Lab named Gibbs, an American Staffordshire
named Dodger and 3 cats (Calhoun, Kobe and
Addie). In my free time, I am outdoors more
than indoors; running, walking, and kayaking.

Dr. Karen SpencerANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER OF MT. PLEASANT
My passion for veterinary medicine began as a
little girl, hunting with my dad and playing with the
field dogs. Throughout my teens, riding horses fu-
eled the fire to interact with animals; I constantly
found injured birds and other wildlife to nurture
back to health. My wonderful journey has given
me many opportunities to work with various
animals, as well as participate in dog shows and
agility competitions. My hobbies still involve nature
and the outdoors. I also love spending time show-
ing my 3 Cavaliers (Jackson, Dory and Stevie), plus
spending time with my cat, Katniss.

In 2011, I was standing in the wedding of the 7th couple I had set up on a
blind date. I looked at my husband and said, “I want to start a matchmak-
ing business... no online profiles, no pictures... just get people in front of
each other.” I started this elite matchmaking service introducing successful
singles through relaxed, group wine tastings in upscale venues or through
one-on-one introductions. Named Mt. Pleasant Magazine’s “Best Place
to Meet Singles in Person” for two years, I am thankful for my incredible
clients and I look forward to many more successful introductions.
