Each dog comes with a book titled “I’ll Be OK.” The pro- gram has been strongly sup- ported by Wisconsin Adju- tant General Donald Dunbar and others across the state. While nothing can replace a mother or father in uni- form deploying halfway across the world for up to a year, Wisconsin officials are hoping “GI Josh” can soften the pains of sepa- ration. Chaplain Catura stated that there was unani- mous agreement among the SAL members in Wiscon- sin to extend the program to children staying at the Milwaukee Fisher House.
