Dimensions: 23.3m w x 9.63m deep (at narrow – N – end).

Notes/Significance: Plate began to accept Rhokanna ores from Rhodesia in 1939 (Ore was associated with copper and cobalt).

Golder Update, 2011 Condition: Good. Appears to be in-use. Structure appears to be cut cement as spalling is apparent along the roofline on the west side. Concrete foundation was designed to look like cut stone. Apparent copper eaves intact. Evidence of dump of brick and insulators on west side.

Notes: Remnants of windows remain with evidence of transom. Remnants of hydro poles to the east of the building.

Construction Materials: Rubble stone foundation; remains of wood beams and iron ties.

Notes/Significance: The stamp mill was part of a series of four detached buildings including cyanide plant, power house, and laboratory built by Canada Goldfields Ltd. At the lab and mill, Kirkegaard experimented with gold extraction and white arsenic and later in 1906 with Kirkpatrick, a method of extracting silver and developing cobalt oxides.

Notes: Correction to Commonwealth, it is northeast wall that is collapsed. The height of the conical posts increase towards the river to address the elevation. Evidence of metal piping. Sill around structure. Southwest wall pushed due to external pressures.

Notes: Possibly was a log boom. Remains of other iron rods are present. Iron rods were drilled into the natural granite. Possible presence of features on the west side of the river.

Notes: Concrete tops have rounded tops with concrete slab pad apparent. Possible cistern. Six concrete „ trough‟ like structures present. Possibly for oil collection or the feet of a large tank. Contain two rows of three. Slots either end of structure for stop-logs.
