The First World War have played an active role in the Europe political evolution. During the interwar, new political system grow in country which suffer from crisis. It is totalitarianism. There is only one party which govern, and opposition is not allowed. It is such a dictatorship. Among some totalitarian governments, there is the Nazi regime which control Germany from 1933 to 1945, it is also known as the 3 rd Reich or the Nazi Germany. That is why we can wonder how the memory of the first world war influence the Nazi Germany? We'll see that First World War participated in the expansion of antisemitism in Germany while giving rise to solemn commemorations for people who died in combat. Firstly, we have to note that the First World War have influenced antisemitism in Germany, therefore Nazism. To understand that, we have to focus on what happened during the war. Since the beginning, German Jews participate actively to lead their country to victory ; both on the front, on the first lines of the battlefield, than in factories, producing weapons and gas for combat. As a result of these effort, Jews are just despised by a part of German population. They accuse them to take advantage of the situation. For instance, in 1916, the War Minister of Germany say that “ Jews are nothing but shirkers”. Nevertheless, right after the war, Weimar republic was born. It eliminated the last legal restrictions on Jews and banned all religious discrimination in public services, Judaism was finally put on an equal footing with the christian religion. However, antisemitism grew in Weimar republic. Jews were blamed for Germany's military defeat and later for the world economics crisis. When Hitler assumed power in 1933, antisemitism was made an integral part of government policy. That is why we can say antisemitic acts which happened during the First World War led violence against Jews during the Weimar Republic, which allowed Hitler to take power in Germany. Yet, Nazis don't remember the first world war just in there antisemitic acts, brutally. They also commemorate it passively. Actually, Germany take example in France, which commemorates the First World War in a special way.

In 1920, France installed an eternal flame atthe foot of one of its most prestigious monument :L'Arc de Triomphe. It represents the grave of theunknown soldier, which was erected in memory ofthe deaths of the First World War. This idea ofcommemoration was taken over by Hitler and thatintegrates the project Germania. A Soldier Memorial wasplanned within it. The interior of this big building is

designed as asingle large hall adorned with vaults. This building should serve as hall of commemoration and as room of trophies. Thus, they should expose there the railroad carin which the German surrender were signed in 1918 and the armistice with France in 1940; the crypt should serve like the Pantheon.

Eventually, to conclude, we can say that Nazis reused the antisemitism of the First World War to stand to Jews, responsible of German defeat. In fact, after the Weimar Republic stood for Jews, and secularism, Hitler came to power and banned these people for the world crisis. He took advantage of German antisemitism increased during the interwar. Moreover, Nazis also want to commemorate the First World War as the French have done.
