Transforming Disruption into Opportunity2018 WIB Annual Conference
Disruption by definition is a break in an activity or process, but the disturbance of established
patterns offers a space for renewed thought and inspired intentions. At WIB’s 61st Annual
Conference, bank leaders and industry experts will gather to collectively explore opportunities
to transform and thrive in the era of disruption.
Attendees can look forward to a framework of education that balances relevant presentations with beneficial
peer exchanges, the opportunity to schedule regulatory one-on-ones and assess a showcase of innovation.
From navigating the cybersecurity landscape to developing shareholder value, this flagship event is essential to
advancing strategies that drive organizational success.
With a record number of attendees expected this year, WIB encourages early registration and advanced booking
for hotel accommodations. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to network with peers and gain the tools necessary
to guide change.
“Over the years, the WIB Annual Conference has evolved into the leading bank conference in the Western United States. With high-quality speakers, timely and relevant content, and the opportunity to network with banks from across the West, this is one conference I plan for each and every year.”
— Terry Peterson, President & CEOCalifornia Bank of Commerce

Golf TournamentsSaturday, March 17 • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The WIB Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the Poipu Bay Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course and home of the PGA Grand Slam since 1994.
Nestled between the Haupu Mountain and the azure Pacific, Poipu Bay Golf Course sits on 210 oceanfront-acres adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. A Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, this Kauai golf course is an ocean links-style course featuring spectacular vistas including seven holes with water hazards. The course is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and is sure to challenge your game.
You may choose between two tournament formats: Scramble or Play-Your-Own-Ball. Maximum handicap for Play-Your-Own-Ball is 18. Sign up early to get your choice of format.

Zipline Trek – Tree House Plus ExcursionSaturday, March 17 • 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Join us on seven exhilarating ziplines beginning at the original Treehouse Zipline Course, plus so much more! Each line on this tour is different — single lines, tandem lines, “zippel” over a waterfall, ride over rivers and across Kipu Ranch. And once you’re all done warming up, it’s time to fly high above Kauai on Hawaii’s longest zipline, the ¾ mile FlyLine!
Adults: $160.00 Children (ages 7–14): $150.00
Flyers must be at least 4 feet tall and weigh between 60 lbs and 275 lbs. If you are pregnant, you should not take part. If you have back, neck, or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether to participate. Reserve early – this tour is limited to 30 participants.
Wednesday, March 21 • 1:15 PM – 7:00 PM
A 4-hour sailing adventure for people who love great food and sunsets. On a 65’ Gold Coast Catamaran, we’ll sail along Na Pali as the afternoon sun paints rich colors across the sky. Equally rich are the history and legends of the ancient Hawaiians that once inhabited these remote valleys. You’re likely to see flying fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and whales in season. Then, top it all off with a dinner and breathtaking sunset at sea.
$190.00 per person includes round-trip transportation, snacks, salads, main course, dessert, cocktails and beverages. We are limited to 49 passengers so reserve your place early as this event will sell out.
More than an indulgence of local cuisine and dazzling horizons, the Sunset Dinner Cruise is a fitting conclusion to a conference focused on opportunities. We invite you to continue your connections with old and new friends, or simply take a moment – an opportunity – to appreciate the experience.
