Youth (9th - 12th Grade Members Only) Missions Trip 2016 to Nassau, Baha-mas: On Saturday, July 9th to Friday, July 15th 2016, the Youth Ministry members will “serve to glorify God” in the Baha-mas. Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1pm, plan to at-tend an interest and informational session for youth, parents and chaperones. We will detail the missions trip eligibility require-ments, the goals of the trip and distribute applications.
First Friday (November 6th at 7pm): Come and enjoy a hands – on and interac-tive study entitled: “Service.” Good friends and good food will be present too! Gain insights into our Church-wide theme of “Serving to Glorify God (1 Peter 4:11).” Please email me if you consider attending this event. And yes, your friends are invit-ed. Send their names so that I may plan accordingly with our meal.
Youth Ministry Service Project: Satur-day, November 14th from 1:45pm to 3:30pm, we will meet at Westminster at Lake Ridge to serve through a “Ministry of Presence” and fellowship. A “Ministry of Presence” means that our physical attend-ance blesses and becomes a gift to anoth-er person. Therefore, we will play bingo and serve apple cider and cookies to the residents. Our intentional fellowship will communicate that they are not forgotten and that God cares for them. Sign-up to-day in the Narthex or contact Rev. McNeill for details at 703- 670-0184. First Friday in December: The Youth Prayer Dinner will be held on Friday, De-cember 4th from 7-9 pm in the Grain of Heaven for 6th thru 12th graders. Sign-ups will begin Nov. 8th after the 8am and 11am services. Dressy attire is required for this event. Jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed. Also, youth are asked to partici-pate in the Youth Canned Food Drive Con-test to fight hunger in the communi-ty. The top 6 winners will receive a prize. Canned goods should be brought to the prayer dinner. POC: Rev. John McNeill (703) 670-0184.
