I was Area News Manager Scotland/Bureau Chief for Reuters Television, and Scotland’s SKY TV Correspondent while Michelle Mason was employed as Bureau Manager for the company.Michelle was highly competent, organised and effective in the role during her entire time at Reuters. We recognised her ability to quickly identify areas where her skills could be put to best use.She had to accommodate two rival teams of TV reporters and camera operators working in a confined space, sometimes competing for the same stories. She did this successfully by maintaining a cool head, diplomatic dexterity, and when needed, a firm hand.Michelle would consider a situation, think it through, and then come up with, not just one solution, but often two or more. She was an extremely popular member of staff, creative, caring and considerate, providing a good atmosphere to work in.I would certainly recommend Michelle to any future employer as I believe she would be a great asset to any company or organisation.
