AAU Participates in NAJAH 2016In its eagerness to communicate with students in all the fields, Al Ain University of Science and Technology participated in Najah AL Ain Exhibition 2016 under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, of Al Ain, between 25 to 27 April 2016.

Poetry Night entitled “Loyalty ,, for Emirates Tender”.In an atmosphere of poetry, eloquence and talent, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology -Al Ain Campus- organized a poetry night entitled “Loyalty .. for Emirates tender”, which was revived by the elite of poets from the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Sheikh Salem Balrkad Al Ameri.

Under the motto “Education: Reading, Creativity and Innovation” .. Faculty of Education at AAU organize a day to celebrate the students’ projects and files achievementBelieving in the need to interact with the community and promotion, the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Ain University of Science and Technology -Al Ain Campus- organized a special day under the motto”Education: reading, creativity and innovation”, to celebrate the students projects and their achievement files, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Hamid,

Organized by the College of Law .. the Moot Court represented one of the justice scenesOne of the just scenes was presented in a professional way by the College of Law students, in which the college organized the “Moot Court” in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- for the College of Law students who have completed the practical training at the university. The court was supervised by Dr. Ibrahim Qtawnah and Dr. Mustafa Qandil from the College of law at the University.

A continuation by AAU in consolidating the bonds of international cooperation in the academic field, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae –AAU President of Al Ain University of Science and Technology, greeted Prof. Yaqoob Nasir Eddin, head of the Board of Trustees of the Middle East University, Prof. Mahmoud Al Wadi –President of Zarqa Private University, and Prof. Maher Saleem –President of Middle East University.

AAU organized Scopus Database Workshop for the Faculty MembersAnxious to support the faculty members, the Library of Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized a workshop on “What Do you Need to Know about Scopus Database?” conducted within three days in Al Ain campus by Mr. Abdoulaye Kaba, the Library Director.

AAU honors the winners of the Sports Olympics for the collegesIn the framework of its care on the student’s activity, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- honored the winners of the Sports Olympics for the colleges, in the presence of Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae, AAU President, the Colleges’ Deans and a number of the university students.

AAU –Abu Dhabi Campus- organize a ceremony to honor the outstanding students at the universityThe Deanship of Student Affairs -Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a ceremony to honor the outstanding students at the university for the second semester 2015/2016 at the university’s theater.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Abdul Hafeez Belarbi, AAU Vice President, Vice Deans, and the honored students.

The HR Unit Organized a “Sweet Dish Competition” at AAU –Al Ain Campus-Because “Sweet gets sweeter, when we get together”, the Human Resources Unit at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized a “Sweet Dish Competition” for the Administrative Staff of the university, where some staff members prepared distinctive desserts characterized by diversity.The jury was formed of the following members: Dr. Ibtehal Aburezeq, Dean of Student Affairs and the Director of Development and Follow-up, Dr. Adel Al Sayed, Director of Professional Development Unit, Dr. Raed Saeed, Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional Research Center, Mrs. Sidra Shaeen, Director of HR Unit, Mr. Mohammad Khaled, Director of Financial AffairsUnit and Mr. Moath Aburub, Director of the Registration Unit.

AAU organized a lecture about (Combat Discrimination and Hatred)The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a lecture about (Combat Discrimination and Hatred), presented by Chancellor Mohammad Al Bayaa –the legal consultant at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and in conjunction with Dr. Mohammad Al Kharsheh from the College of Law. The lecture was attended by Dr. Hussein Al Mougy, Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Ahmed Al Jobair, the Deputy Dean, and a group of faculty members and students of the college.

Two Days of Health and Beauty at AAU –Al Ain Campus-In the occasion of the World Health Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized a health day entitled “My Health, My Beauty”, with the participation of Mediclinic Al Hili, Fine Care, Care Direct and Derma Health, which saw a large turnout over two days.The health day included free examinations such as, facial and skin tests and other medical tests such as, cholesterol screening, pressure, sugar and body mass, in addition to providing some medical advice, as the actors involved the distribution of free samples to attend.

AAU organized a lecture entitled “What is Marriage” ?Anxious to pay attention to the cultural and social awareness among students,the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized a lecture entitled “What is Marriage?” under the slogan “Together we plan for happiness” in cooperation with the Family Development Foundation. The lecture was presented by Mr. Arafat, Saif Al Kaabi, with the presence of a number of academic staff and students of the university.

AAU organized a lecture about “The Role of the Municipality in the Preservation of the Environment and Public Health”.In the framework of enhancing the awareness side of the students, the College of Law at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized a lecture about “The Role of the Municipality in the Preservation of the Environment and Public Health”, which was presented by Mrs. Ebtisam Jomaa Saeed Al Shamsi – Coordinator of the Environment, Health and Safety at Al Ain Municipality. The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the College of Law.

In line with the Reading Year initiative ,, AAU organized an Anecdotal sessionIn the context of supporting the initiative launched by the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates to make the 2016 a reading year, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized an anecdotal session, which was presented by the writer Asmaa Zaytoun -Member of the Jordanian Writers Association and the General Union of Arab Writers.The session began with an examples of short stories which were read by the writer. she explained the differences between a short story and a very short story, The latter is characterized for being more shorthanded, intense, concise, as rhetoric and focus increased with the presence of some of the mystery.
