Mission Statement
We, the Eucharistic Community of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, are a diverse family of believers, living and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and dedicating ourselves to serving Our Lord and our neighbors through liturgical worship, prayer and outreach.
Journey of Faith
We are on a long and eventful journey. Today's readings for Trinity Sunday succinctly cover the depth and breadth of our human travels. The very beginnings of our journey are revealed in the reading from Proverbs. God's plan filled with divine wisdom was born before the earth was made. In today's Gospel, Jesus speaks of his own personal journey. He has come from the Father and will return to the Father. Only then will the Advocate--the Spirit of Truth--take us onward. This does not diminish the fact that the journey will be hard. The very setting of the Gospel is the night before Jesus died. As Saint Paul writes to the Romans, "[W]e even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4). Ultimately, our human journey is modeled by the Holy Trin-ity--a family of love among Father, Son, and Spirit that we
are all called to emulate. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co.

Technical Expert Committee (TEC)
The Pastoral Council is forming a Technical Expert Committee (TEC) that will be comprised of parishioners who are experts in their field of work. The purpose of the committee is to serve the council as an advisory board on issues that arise in the parish (for example: if new computers were needed for the parish office and the TEC member is a Computer Information Systems expert, then the council would ask that parishioner to provide recommendations for a replacement system). The council is looking for experts in the field of general contracting, the electrical field, the computer field, HVAC, masonry, code enforcement, etc. If you feel you meet the requirements to be a part of the committee, please call Joe Courey at (850) 983-7544, or Kate Lewis at (850) 623-3600 ext. 20.

Family Promise is a program dedicated to preventing children and families in crisis from becoming completely homeless. St Rose hosts families through Family Promise during the year. Did you know that Family Promise now works along side Bridges Out of Poverty to help these families? Some families need a place to stay; a safe place to regroup their situations, pick up, and carry on again. It is not a hand out; rather, it is a hand up. The parish will host families the week of July 10th - 18th, and we really need your help! We’re asking for volunteers to assist with meals and to be a host to our guest families by setting up for their arrival and breaking down after they leave. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Deacon Jeff and Danielle Massey at 450-7376 or by email at [email protected].

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church May 22, 2016
Bishop Parkes has announced new parish assignments for our Diocese. He has assigned our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Richard Schamber, as the Administrator of two parishes: St. Frances of Assisi in Blountstown and Holy Cross in Chattahoochee, effective July 1st. All priests must first serve as Administrators prior to being appointed Pastors. While we are all sad to see Fr. Schamber move on, we do congratulate him as he accepts the opportunities and challenges of his new assignment. We also thank Fr. Schamber for his five years of ministry here at St. Rose. The Bishop has also appointed Fr. Hank Lech as the new Parochial Vicar. Fr. Hank is presently in the process of returning to Priestly Ministry in the Church. We welcome him as he joins our faith community.
