Brief Description of Postgraduate Courses Taught: (Course Title – Code: Description) 1 This is a six month theoretical course to prepare the students for the part I examination of Saudi Board/Arab
Board and FRCS examination. In this course lectures are given on the important topics in trauma and orthopaedics
2 This six month rotation is for the surgical trainee residents inorthopaedics units. The residents are trained in the theoretical aspects of orthopaedic and trauma, clinical examination, assisting in operating room and clinics. At the end of rotation the residents are examined
3 During this two-‐week rotation the residents are taught the basic orthopaedic and trauma onditions. The residents attend the ward round and clinics.
4 This is an extensive three-‐year orthopaedic resident training programme. The residents join the department after completing the first two-‐year in the general surgical and allied specialities. The resident is trained for surgical procedures; they assist and also run clinics as well as on call duties. During this time the residents are prepared for their examination. The residents are examined yearly.
