Note 1: float type data format
Float type data format is defined by the first bit of control byte with two options which
are big-endian mode and little-endian mode. It is defaulted as big-endian mode.
E.g.
Storage Phase voltage value V1 in the internal memories of PLC which are PIB260,
PIB261,PIB262 and PIB263,
V1 = 222.7, V=0x435EB333
For big-endian mode, PIB260=0x43,PIB261=0x5E,PIB262=0xB3,PIB263=0x33;
For little-endian mode, PIB260=0x33,PIB261=0xB3,PIB262=0x5E,PIB263=0x43;
Note 1: Formato de datos tipo flotante
PIB260,PIB261,PIB262 y PIB263,
V1 = 222.7, V=0x435EB333
Para el modo big-endian, PIB260=0x43 , PIB261=0x5E , PIB262=0xB3 ,
PIB263=0x33;
Para el modo little-endian, PIB260=0x33 , PIB261=0xB3 , PIB262=0x5E ,
PIB263=0x43;

5.2.3 GPRS(TCP)test example
PC is used as server to build TCP connection with AHM3 which is client.
Data exchanging, AHM3 real-time measured data reading and configuration
of AHM3 parameters are realized through standard Modbus-TCP data
transmission protocol.
Note:
1. If it is fixed IP access network, please select IP Access Mode; If it is
dynamic IP access network, please select Domain Name Access Mode.
2. In fixed IP access network, if PC is in a LAN built on router, it is
necessary to set port mapping in router which means to set a port to
allow communication between LAN and external network in router. The
port number of DM13 should be the same as that in router.
Step1: DM13 setting
In communication example model, fixed IP is 222.191.243.130, set port
13
mapping in router with port number 3000.
DM13 parameters are as follows:

Step2: PC user create TCP server mode
Server mode can be created through relative TCP test software on PC.
Take TCP Monitor Modbus, test software of our company, as example.
·Open software
ejemplo.
·Open software / Abre el software
14
·Set port as 3000, click button Start Monitor, and then start to monitor
client.
·If the configuration of network and DM13 is correct, new client will
15
appear, which means the connection succeeds.
Step3: Modbus-TCP test
Write test data frame which is to be sent by server in Request area. For
example, read eight float type data starting from register 0x0006 by using
command 03, click button Send, response data frame will appear in
Response area. If user set Interval and select Auto, this software will execute
data exchanging automatically at regular time to test the reliability of
communication.

Please refer to AHM3 Modbus-RTU Communication User Manual for
communication register address list.
