The Annamore Court Step-Down
Centre in Ballyfermot, Dublin, Ireland’s
largest social housing development,
was recently opened by Minster
for Housing, Planning, Community
and Local Government, Eoghan
Murphy TD.
During its recent unveiling the minister
hailed it as a flagship example of the
housing of the future in Ireland.
AG products played an integral role
in the development which is set to
be replicated across the country in
similar schemes delivered by The
Iveagh Trust, a privately owned
operation which is funded by
Guinness family.

The €10m development has been
finished with textured Pedra®
bevelled edge flagstones, to create
walkways surrounding the building
and throughout the balconies to great
aesthetic effect.
Completed in just 18 months, at a
cost of just €144,000 per unit, the
timescale and cost efficiencies in
this development were achieved with
the help of the Pedra® flagstones
which offer both ease of installation
and an economical choice without
jeopardising on quality.
The availability of the Pedra® Flags
was key at a time of a regenerating
house-building era, gathering pace to
meet the needs of the country’s social
housing shortage.
