Subject: Confirmation of the minutes of 251st meeting of the General House held on

27.11.2017 at 11.00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall of the M.C., Chandigarh.

E-tendering hire agency for the supply of 15 security personnel for the security of MC Building.

The Establishment Branch of the CMC Office has also engaged M/s

PESCO to provide 15 security personnel for the security of the M.C Building for a period

of one year extendable upto 3 years as per resolution passed by the General House in

its meeting held on 30.05.2016. After completion of one year as on 31 .7.2017, the

matter was placed before the General House in its meeting held on 30.06.2017 for the

extension of the contract for further period of one year on the same terms and

conditions. The House decided to conduct afresh e-tendering to hire agency who is

registered with Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, G.0.1 ..

and also accorded one month extension i.e. upto 31 .8.2017 to the existing agency.

Accordingly, e-tendering was conducted but no bid was received from the

agency who is registered with DGR. The matter was again placed before the General

House in its 249th meeting held on 29.9.2017. The General House again extended the

contract period for one and half month i.e. upto 15.10.2017 and decided to float e­

tender afresh. Accordingly , e-tendering was conducted but this time again no bid has

been received from any agency who is registered with DGR.

It is pertinent to mention here that the General House in its 2501h meeting

held on 30.10.2017 vide Item No. 250.5 placed by the MOH, MCC has decided as

under:

"The House considered and resolved that the present contract with PESCO for supply of security staff i. e 16 No. of Security Guards alongwith 03 Supervisors be extended for another one year w.e.f 1.01.2018 to 31.12.2018 on existing terms & conditions, subject to condition that it shall be mandatory for PESCO to provide only Ex-Servicemen for this purpose."

The matter is placed before the General House for grant of extension to

Mis PESCO to provide 15 Security Personnel for the security of MC building for further

period of one year i.e. from 16.10.2017 15.10.2018 on the same terms & conditions

subject to the condition that it shall be mandatory for PESCO to provide only Ex­

Servicemen (as decided by the General House in its 2501h meeting held on 30.10.2017

in the case of MOH office)

The selected operator will also run the Multi Level Parking at the same rates of which the complete collection from tickets will be deposited with the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. The space for advertisement will be at the disposal of the operator as per the provisions approved by the Competent Authority. Keeping in view the above decisions of the General House it is proposed that:-The tender earlier invited by the office for Operation and Management of 25 Paid Parkings be cancelled and the earnest money of the bidders be refunded.
