Section by section assembly is made easy by the simp- licity of design. Heavy lumber platforms bolted through the corner post provide a solid platform for working on the mill head. One corner of the platform is beveled off to make climbing over it easier. Heavy duty anchor post with double angle cross pieces at the bottom give a solid foundation for your tower. The heavy galvanizing helps protect them from rust. The two bottom sections of every tower are braced with angle steel arranged so that there is no clumsy brace across at ground level to obstruct access to and from the pump. Angle braces bolted to the lower horizontal girt makes a very rigid section. Horizontal girts add to the bracing and strengthen the tower at 7 foot intervals. Workmen standing on planks positioned on one level can easily assemble the next level. Towers are therefore easily built up from the foundation. It is important to use a tower high enough to allow good wind exposure from all directions. The mill will pump more often, and will be safer in storms. Aermotor towers are absolutely safe for the higher use. Accurately gauged round braces give uniform tension to every section. The stub tower bolts to the top of your other brand tower and notches properly together to increase strength and rigidity. The slope of the corner posts of the tower make for easy climbing of the loop ladder. The tower spread is approx- imately one foot for every five feet of height. When anchored securely, the tower will stand through winds that wreck buildings and trees. The interlocking top puts the load onto the corner posts, which are the strongest parts of the tower. With all braces accurately gauged to length, there is no chance for uneven tightening to pull the tower out of shape. Aermotor towers are built to last a lifetime.
