United States Tennis Association (USTA) Adult Tennis League

The Northglenn Recreation Center is excited to offer league tennis to players for the 2012 season. All home matches will be played at either Wyco Park on three lighted tennis courts, or at Danahy Park on two lighted tennis courts.

What is league tennis?League tennis is a team sport that offers adult players 18 years and older the opportunity to play other teams of like ages and abilities.

How many players are on a team?Depending on which league you participate in, you will need between 4 and 8 players to form a team.

How can I find out about league formats?On the right is a chart showing each league and a short description of the number of players needed plus important dates, days, and times for matches.

What if I don’t know anyone who plays tennis but I want to participate in leagues?Northglenn’s league coordinator can help players find a team or match up teams look-ing for players. You could also contact the facility coordinator where you are interested in playing to let them know you are looking for a team.

once I find a team, how do I sign up?All adult leagues, with the exception of World Team Tennis, require a USTA mem-bership. You will also need a team number in order to register for league play. Team numbers are available from Deb Lawson at the Northglenn Recreation Center. After you have a USTA membership number, have walked through the self rating system, and have received a team number, you are ready to register for league play.

How do I know what NTRP level I should play?If you do not have an NTRP rating, you will be required to go through the self-rate process prior to registering for a team. Visit www.usta.com/Play-Tennis/USTA-League/Information/About_NTRP for more detailed information.

What is the cost?There are three costs for league tennis:1. USTA MembershipEach player must be a member of the USTA. Fees start at $44.
