INNOVATION, EMPOWERMENT & EXCELLENCE
Discrete Mathematics is a study of discrete
structures which are abstract mathematical models
dealing with discrete objects and their relationship
between them. It does not directly help us to write
programs, but it is a means to model real world
problems, formally. Discrete Mathematics embraces a
unique position in a Computer Science curriculum in
contrast to many other courses as it can be viewed as
the first step in transforming real-world problems.
Discrete Computational Structures is given in the third
semester of CSE & IT syllabus of APJ Abdul Kalam
Technological University, Kerala. This one day FDP is
intended to give an overview of the KTU syllabus which
will be beneficial for the faculties handling the subject.
It provides an outline about the concepts of Discrete
Computational Structures such as Lattice, Logic and
algebraic systems with focus on theoretical as well as
problem solving sessions.
