FROM THE EASTMy brothers this is my last input for my year as your worshipful master. Let me start of by thanking each and every one of you for the support you have given me. Together we have accomplished so much for the benefit of your lodge this past year it is amazing to me when I reflect back to last January and see how much we have grown as a lodge. I joke to new members to wear tennis shoes as we are a busy lodge. The new brothers have stepped up to the plate and helped in so many ways.
We have one month till the new master takes the helm and December is going to be a another busy one and I hope the level of support continues to grow. I promise you that I will be by Mikes side and continue to deliver the same support he gave me.
Because of the tremendous success of the Grand Masters Visit we have set the bar very high for district 23 and our lodge. We had 101 brothers in the lodge for his visit with Englewood 360 and we had the biggest showing of brothers attending. It was definitely the highlight of my masonic career. We owe RW Dan for putting us on the Grand lodge map.I will save the rest of my comments for installation.
Fraternally,W Denis Doome PM

CHAPLAIN’S CORNER
December is the last month of the Masonic year as well as the holiday season. It is a busy time of the year with family and friends. It is also a special time of fellowship and brotherly love in our Masonic lodge. Active members enjoy the time of friendship and brotherhood. This can be a special time for all members to reflect on what is most important throughout the year especially for those who celebrate Christmas.

MASONIC EDUCATION
My book of the year has been “Short Talks on Masonry” written by Joseph Fort Newton in 1928. He was a Masonic writer, Freemason and philosopher who died in 1950. His father, Lee Newton, was also a Freemason. Joseph became a minister in Illinois and a Freemason in Iowa. He studied Masonic History and philosophy in an Iowa Masonic library. He wrote his first book “The Builders” in 1914. He saw his books engaging the heart and mind. His books included information that was inspirational and included symbolism, philosophy and history.
