Measure E Improvements – Enclose Open Classrooms/Modernization Project CONTACT: Tim Ledesma, Milo Oostinga, Ledesma & Meyer Construction Co., Inc.

This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents for the Project described above and

shall supersede referenced sections of the original Bidding Documents. This Addendum is an

integral part of said Bidding Documents and shall be acknowledged in the Contractor’s Bid

Proposal form. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the Bid may cause the Bid

to be rejected.

This addendum is divided into seven (7) parts: Instructions and Procedures, Public Works Bid

Package, Project Specifications, Drawings, Prior Addenda, Other Documents, and Pre-Bid

Questions.

I. INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURES

1. The following changes, omissions and/or additions to the Bid Specification shall apply to proposals made for and to the execution of the various parts of the work affected thereby, and all other conditions shall remain the same.

2. Careful note of the Addendum shall be taken by all parties of interest so that the proper allowance may be made in all computations and estimates, and all trades affected shall be fully advised in the performance of the work which will be required of them.

3. In case of conflict between the Drawings, Specifications, and this Addendum, this

Addendum shall govern.

II. PUBLIC WORKS BID PACKET

1. Notice Calling for Bids, ATTENTION Bid Package 01 and 04 Bidders revise as follows:

• All work in Bid Package 04 is hereby transferred to, and becomes a part of, Bid Package 01. No Prime Bids will be accepted for Bid Package 04 and bidders wishing to bid the work of Bid Package 04 shall submit a sub-bid to Bid Package 01 bidders.

2. Bid Form, Clarification for Alternates. Remove the “Bid Form” in its entirety and replace with the “Bid Form” labeled Addendum 4. Alternate 2 is hereby removed and shall be included in the base bid.

3. Supplemental Conditions, Attachment A – Contract Document Listing, revise as follows: Remove the “Attachment A – Contract Document Listing” in its entirety

and replace with the “Attachment A – Contract Document Listing” labeled Addendum 4.

4. Supplemental Conditions, Attachment C - Trade Specific Inclusions. Revise as follows: Remove the “Attachment C – Trade Specific Provisions” in its entirety and replace with the “Attachment C – Trade Specific Provisions” dated May 5, 2017 and labeled Addendum 4. Changes on spreadsheet are identified in BOLD ITALIC print, including revised Allowances for Bid Packages 6 and 12.

5. Supplemental Conditions, Attachment E – Bid Schedule, revise as follows: Remove the “Attachment E – Bid Schedule” in its entirety and replace with the “Attachment E – Bid Schedule” labeled Addendum 4.

6. Supplemental Conditions, Attachment F – Site Logistics Plan, revise as follows: Remove the “Attachment F – Site Logistics Plan” in its entirety and replace with the “Attachment F – Site Logistics Plan” dated May 5, 2017 and labeled Addendum 4.

7. Supplemental Conditions, Attachment L – Materials Procurement Submittals. Add the attached Approved Submittals. The below submittals are provided for reference and information.

4.1.3 Where (E) glazing is shown for removal, the (E) frame shall be removed as part of the demolition.

4.10.1 Contractor is to remove and reinstall existing bench along the new 6” curb near flag pole.

and low voltage for locations of power and data outlets.

1.4 Drawing Reference A131: Where suspended gypsum ceiling is patched to match

existing, finish shall match adjacent color and texture. Transition between new

and existing ceiling shall be seamless, and unnoticeable.

1.5 Drawing Reference E001: Data cables shall terminate at IDF/MDF shown in

plans. Telephone cables shall terminate at communications cabinet or telephone

backboard shown in plan.
