im Jahr 2008 – noch vor der Wirtschaftskrise – sah auch die PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP steigende energie - kosten als eine zunehmende Herausforderung. die teilnahme am energie-effizienz-tisch war nur eine maßnahme, um zukünftig dem thema „energie“ die angemessene Bedeutung einzuräumen. anfäng-lich als internes Projekt initiiert ist mittlerweile ein eigenes unternehmen der PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP aus dem Ziel entstanden, energieflüsse transparent und nachvollziehbar darzustellen. sämtliche Kom- petenzen der unternehmensgruppe sind in die econ Produkte eingeflossen – von der Gehäusekonstruktion über die Leiterplattenentwicklung bis zur montage. die Philosophie der Produktgruppe setzt dabei auf zukunftsfähige und einheitliche technologien gepaart mit der einbindung von bestehenden offenen standards. econ solutions hat sich auf die fahne geschrieben, den standard im energiecontrolling und der energiedatenerfassung zu setzen: econ als integrator für alles, was mit energie zu tun hat.

in 2008 – even before the economic crisis – the PoLYraCK teCH GrouP saw a growing chal-lenge in the form of rising energy costs. Partici-pation at the energy efficiency table was only one way of attaching the proper significance to the subject of „energy“ in the future. initiated originally as an internal project, the goal of mak-ing energy flows transparent and traceable has since evolved into a separate company within the PoLYraCK teCH GrouP. all of the competen-cies available in the corporate group have flowed into the econ products – from case design, to PC board development, to assembly. the philoso-phy of the product group relies on sustainable and standardized technologies, paired with the incorporation of existing open standards. econ solutions has taken on the cause of setting the standard for energy controlling and energy data acquisition: econ as the integrator for everything that has to do with energy.

Through Transparency to Energy Efficiencythe best way to save is to not incur the cost in the first place. But who knows exactly where within the company energy is – in some cases unneces-sarily – being used? Individuelle Auswertung und Analysedie econ app ist über jeden beliebigen Browser an einem arbeitsplatz erreichbar. Über Berechti-gungen werden den anwendern die relevanten daten und funktionen zur Verfügung gestellt. individuelle Hierarchien ermöglichen unterschied-liche strukturierungen der messdaten. Grafische und tabellarische Berichte liefern information im jeweils gewünschten format.

das neue Panel-PC-Gehäuse bzw. -system der PoLYraCK electronic-aufbausysteme GmbH ergänzt die bereits bestehende Produktfamilie perfekt.ansprechendes design der front- und rückseite, hohe ergonomie – und alles ohne gleichzeitig inak-zeptable Kompromisse bei den technischen eigen-schaften machen zu müssen – das war die klare Vorgabe bei der entwicklung und realisierung. im mittelpunkt stand und steht dabei das neue Gehäusekonzept. Basierend auf zwei aufeinander abgestimmte Gehäusehälften aus aluminium-druckguss, bietet es die optimale Basis zum aufbau hochwertiger rechnersysteme. ein besonderes augenmerk lag dabei auf dem weiter voranschreitenden trend lüfterloser systeme. Bereits während der entwicklungs-phase – anhand des bestehenden Wissens und unterstützt durch modernste simulationssoftware – wurden die zur optimalen Wärmeabführung erforderlichen maßnahmen akribisch betrachtet und entsprechend umgesetzt. darüber hinaus wird die elektronik durch einen iP-schutzgrad von 65 (iP65) perfekt geschützt, womit der einsatz in anspruchsvoller, industrieller umgebung problem-los möglich ist. der displayrahmen ist vorbereitet für ein 15" dis-play mit touchscreen, kann jedoch auch auf andere Größen angepasst werden. Über entsprechende Verschraubungspunkte ist die erweiterung um zusätzliche elektronikkomponenten gegeben. Bei Verwendung einer kundenspezifischen rück-haube – anstatt der standard-aluminium-druck-guss-Haube – ist der ausbau individuell gestaltbar.die montage eines tragarmes an der Gehäuse-rückseite, erfolgt nach Vesa-standard.

the new panel Panel PC case or system from PoLYraCK electronic-aufbausysteme GmbH per-fectly supplements the already existing product family.appealing design of the front and back, a high de-gree of ergonomics – and all this without having to make unacceptable compromises in the technical characteristics – that was the clearly worded remit in the development and implementation phase. the focus was and is the new case concept. Based on two matching case halves of pressure cast aluminium it offers the optimum basis for the set-up of high-quality computer systems. Par-ticular attention was paid the continuing trend to-wards fanless systems. Back at the development phase – by means of the existing knowledge and supported by ultramodern simulation software – the required measures for the optimal dissipation of heat were closely examined and implemented accordingly, furthermore, the electronics are perfectly protected by an iP protection level of 65 (iP65), which enables utilisation in demanding, industrial environments without problem. the display frame is prepared to accept a 15" display with touch screen, but can be adapted to other sizes as required. the addition of electronic components is provided by corresponding screw points. the use of a customer-specific rear hood – instead of the standard pressure cast aluminium hood – allows individual adaptation.the assembly of a supporting arm on the rear of the case is effected as per Vesa standard.

Le nouveau concept de boîtier se trouvait ainsi, et se trouve encore, au centre de toutes les atten-tions. L’idée repose sur l’ajustage de deux moitiés de boîtier en aluminium moulé sous pression, assorties l’une à l’autre, gage parfait de l’assem-blage de systèmes informatiques de grande qualité. Les systèmes fanless (sans ventilateur) ont également fait l’objet d’une attention particu-lière dans le cadre d’un marché continuellement florissant. dès la phase de développement, grâce à nos connaissances actuelles et au moyen de solutions logicielles des plus modernes, nous avons méticuleusement concentré et su implé-menter nos efforts sur les mesures nécessaires à la dissipation optimale de la chaleur. L’électronique est par ailleurs parfaitement protégée par un indice de protection de 65 (iP65), ce qui garantit un emploi impeccable dans environnement indus-triel fortement sollicité. si le cadre de l’écran est apprêté pour un moniteur de 15" avec écran tactile, il peut également être redimensionné. L’extension par des composants électroniques supplémentaires est possible au moyen de points de vissage adéquats. L’exten-sion est adaptable aux besoins particuliers en cas d’utilisation d’un capot arrière spécifié par le client, à la place du capot standard en alu moulé sous pression.Le montage d’une console à l'arrière du boîtier se réalise suivant les standards Vesa.

PoLYraCK erweitert sein umfangreiches Pro-gramm an Busplatinen-standards und microcom-puter-Packaging-systemen

VPXder neue, primär für anspruchsvolle anwendun-gen wie der Verteidigungstechnik definierte Bus- und systemstandard, zeichnet sich durch höhere Übertragungsraten und eine erweiterte anzahl von i/o-anbindungen aus. „VPX“ wird aber auch speziell im Bereich Gehäuse- und systemlösung neue Wege gehen! um den neuen (Bus-)standard im Gehäuse zu adaptieren, werden nicht nur rein in der 19"-Welt bekannte ansätze herangezogen, sondern auch themen wie z. B. „ruggedized“ oder „Conduction-Cooling“ implementiert. um „VPX“ auch anderen, als COTS („Commercial Off The Shelf“) bekannten märkten, verfügbar zu machen, wurde dieser durch die ansi bereits frühzeitig als OpenVPX adaptiert und damit auch industriellen ansätzen zugänglich gemacht. PoLYraCK bietet nun hierzu sowohl Busplatinen als auch systemplattformen (mPs), die als start-punkt für weitere, kurzfristig realisierbare ansätze dienen.

CompactPCI PlusIO Busplatinenmit „CompactPCi Plusio“ wird die bisherige, parallele Welt des CompactPCi mit der neuen, seriellen des CompactPCi serial verbunden. des Weiteren erfolgt die erweiterung um die neuen Bustopologien wie sata, usB, PCie und ethernet und ermöglicht den einsatz beider Plattformen in einem system. Bei der von PoLYraCK realisierten 8 slot-Bus-platine werden als hybride Lösung weiterhin 4 steckplätze nach PiCmG 2.0 r3.0-standard (Pa-rallel) zur Verfügung gestellt. der systemslot stellt über den Pin- und Bauform kompatiblen P2-uHm-steckverbinder auch die Verbindung zu dem 4 slot Busbereich nach PiCmG CPCi-s.0 (seriell) her. im seriellen-Busbereich können nun bis 12,5GBit/s schnelle signalraten realisiert werden, wofür die air-max Vs steckverbinder eingesetzt werden. aber auch bekannte features wie JtaG-interface oder smBus sind weiterhin Bestandteil dieses neuen Busplatinen-standards.

VPXthe new bus and system standard defined pri-marily for demanding applications such as those found in defence technology is characterised by high transfer rates and an increase in the number of i/o connections. However, “VPX” is also in par-ticular venturing into new territory in the field of case and system solutions! in order to adapt the new (bus) standard in the case, approaches are being taken that are not only to be found in the 19" world, for example, “ruggedized” or “conduc-tion-cooling” are being implemented. in order to make “VPX” available to other markets – known as COTS („Commercial Off The Shelf“) –, the decision was taken already early to adapt it as OpenVPX by the ansi and thus also to make it accessible to industrial approaches. PoLYraCK is now also offering a wiring back-plane as well as system platforms (mPs) that can serve as a spring board for a range of further, swiftly implementable approaches.

CompactPCI PlusIO Backplanes“CompactPCi Plusio” connects the hitherto, parallel world of the CompactPCi with the new serials of the CompactPCi serial. moreover, the new bus topologies such as sata, usB, PCle and ethernet are being added and enable the use of both platforms in one system.the 8 slot bus boards from PoLYraCK will continue to offer 4 slots as per PiCmG 2.0 r3.0 standard (parallel) as a hybrid solution. Via the pin and compatible P2-uHm-connector, the system slot will also establish a connection to the 4 slot bus area as per PiCmG CPCi-s.0 (serial). in the area of series buses, speeds of up to 12.5 GBit/s signal rates can be achieved, for which the air-max Vs plugs are employed. VPXLe nouveau standard de bus et de systèmes, élaboré en premier lieu pour des applications exigeantes comme celles de la technologie de la défense, se distingue par un taux de transfert optimisé et un nombre élargi de connexions i/o. Le « VPX » s’apprête en outre à prendre de nou-velles directions dans le domaine des solutions de boîtiers et de systèmes ! L’adaptation du nouveau standard (de bus) à l’intérieur du boîtier implique non seulement le recours à des applications éprouvées dans le seul univers du 19", mais aussi l’implémentation de thèmes tels que les ordina-teurs renforcés (ruggedized) ou le refroidissement par conduction. dans le but d’ouvrir le VPX à d’autres marchés, précisément celui du « composant pris sur éta-gère » (COTS – Commercial Off The Shelf), il a été précocement homologué sous la spécification openVPX par l’ansi et ainsi axé sur les usages industriels. Platines bus CompactPCI PlusIO« CompactPCi Plusio » permet d’apparier le monde parallèle du CompactPCi au nouveau, sériel, du CompactPCi serial. L’élargissement se poursuit en outre par le biais de nouvelles topolo-gies en bus comme sata, usB, PCie et ethernet, et permet l’emploi des deux plateformes dans un même système. La platine bus 8-slots réalisée par PoLYraCK continue d’adopter 4 encoches en guise de solution hybride conformément à la spécification PiCmG 2.0 r3.0 (en parallèle). Le system-slot établit la connexion, via le connecteur P2-uHm à broche ou fiche, à la zone de bus 4-slots confor-mément à la spécification PiCmG 2.0 r3.0 (en sériel). La zone de bus sérielle ne permet de réaliser des taux de signal que jusqu’à 12,5Gbit/s, impliquant l’emploi de connecteurs air-max Vs. d’autres éléments notoires telle que l’interface JtaG ou le smBus continuent de composer la nouvelle platine bus standard.

Komplexe Software unterstützt Konstruktion für Spritzgießwerkzeuge

der anfang ist die Hälfte des Ganzen – diesem, auch unserem, anspruch werden wir gerecht und haben bei der raPP Kunststofftechnik ganz bewusst in neue, unterstützende technologien bei der Konstruktion von spritzgießwerkzeugen inve-stiert. aufbauend auf das langjährige und enorme fachwissen unserer mitarbeiter, sind wir mit Hilfe der software – „simpoe“, anhand entsprechender Verzugsanalysen, nun noch effektiver in der Lage, die Werkzeug-, respektive teilekonstruktion, opti-mal zu gestalten. der Vorteil mit „simpoe“ ist, dass anhand der simulation, frühzeitig – nämlich vor Beginn des Werkzeugbaues, also dem i.d.r. kosteninten-sivsten teil – denkbare „Problemzonen“ bei der Befüllung des Werkzeugbaus, und damit einher-gehend nicht zufriedenstellende teilequalitäten, erkannt und vermieden werden können. anson-sten anfallende Korrekturschleifen, was insbeson-dere bei zeitkritischen Projekten problematisch ist, können hierdurch vermieden werden. Voraussetzung für optimale ergebnisse mit „sim-poe“ ist zum einen die gegebene fachkompetenz unserer mitarbeiter, zum anderen eine hohe verfügbare rechnerleistung – je nach Werkzeug-komplexität sind Berechnungszeiträume von mehreren tagen keine seltenheit.

Beginning is half done – we will meet this, which is also our, requirement and have invested at raPP Kunststofftechnik purposefully in new sup-porting technologies for the design of injection molding tools. Building on the extensive experi-ence and enormous expertise of our employees, now with the help of „simpoe“ software we can even more effectively design tooling or parts ide-ally on the basis of distortion analysis. the advantage of „simpoe“ is that by using the simulation up front – before the start of the tool construction, which is usually the most cost-intensive part – conceivable „problem areas“ can be identified during filling of the tool, thus also avoiding unsatisfactory part qualities. Correction grinding that would otherwise be necessary and that is problematic particularly for time-critical projects can be eliminated as well. a necessary condition for optimum results with „simpoe“ is on the one hand, the existing technical expertise of our employees and on the other hand, high availability of computing power – depending on the complexity of the tool, computation times of several days are not unusual.

Le commencement est beaucoup plus que la moitié de l'objectif : cet adage qui est égale-ment le nôtre, nous l'avons appliqué chez raPP Kunststofftechnik en investissant sciemment dans des technologies nous aidant à concevoir nos outils de moulage par injection. forts de l’expé-rience de longue date et de la haute compétence de nos collaborateurs, grâce au logiciel « simpoe » et aux analyses de dilatation correspondantes nous sommes aujourd’hui en mesure de gérer la conception des outils ou pièces dans des condi-tions optimales. L’avantage de « simpoe », c’est que grâce à une simulation précoce – à savoir avant le début de la réalisation de l’outil, autrement dit la phase la plus coûteuse – nous pouvons maintenant détecter les éventuelles « zones à problèmes » lors de l’injec-tion de l’outil. Par là même, nous évitons les pièces de qualité non satisfaisante. et nous évitons aussi les rectifications correctives, surtout probléma-tiques dans des projets aux délais très serrés. Conditions préalables pour obtenir des résultats optimaux avec « simpoe » : d’une part la compé-tence professionnelle de nos collaborateurs et, d’autre part, la haute disponibilité des ordinateurs qui, selon la complexité de l’outil, peuvent parfois réaliser des calculs pendant plusieurs jours.

als erstes unternehmen der PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP wurde die raPP Kunststofftechnik GmbH für ihr energiemanagementsystem (enms) ent- sprechend der din en 16001:2009 zertifiziert. die din en 16001 beschreibt die anforderungen an ein enms anhand dessen man in der Lage ist, den energieverbrauch systematisch und kontinuierlich sowie unter Berücksichtigung der gesetzlichen rahmenbedingungen, zu reduzieren.

aufbauend auf das bestehende umweltmanage-mentsystem (iso 14001) bei der raPP Kunst-stofftechnik, konnten mit Hilfe von econ (siehe auch CoVer storY) nicht nur die vorhandenen Potentiale zur Verbesserung der energieeffizienz aufgezeigt, ermittelt und dokumentiert werden – die energiekosten konnten auch auf anhieb um 25% reduziert werden!

Grundsätzlich ist bei der gesamten PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP umwelt-, und qualitätsbewusstes denken und Handeln selbstverständlich. KTV Straubenhardt Deutscher Mannschaftsmeister 2009der Gewinn der deutschen mannschafts-mei-sterschaft am 30. november in Karlsruhe war der sportliche Höhepunkt 2009 bei der KtV strau-benhardt. für die kommende saison 2010 hat sich das team zum Ziel gesetzt, den einzug in das Ligafinale in Berlin zu erturnen. dabei kann trainer alexei Grigoriev aus dem Vollen schöpfen, denn der Kern der mannschaft bleibt unverändert.

Goldregen für KTV Turner bei der Deutschen Kunstturnmeisterschaft 2010mit herausragenden Leistungen glänzten die KtV-turner bei den 77. deutschen Kunstturnmei-sterschaften im september 2010 in Berlin. thomas taranu erkämpfte sich erstmalig den 1. Platz in seiner Lieblingsdisziplin, dem Kraftgerät ringe, und erreichte einen hervorragenden 3. Platz in der mehr- und Bodenkampfentscheidung. marcel nguyen überzeugte durch den 1. Platz im mehr-kampf und am Boden – womit er nachfolger von fabian Hambüchen wurde – sowie einem 1. Platz am Barren. fabian Hammbüchen hingegen – der verletzungsbedingt gehandicapt teilnahm – sicher-te sich die Goldmedaille am Königsgerät reck.

KTV Straubenhardt Champion d’Allemagne par équipe 2009La victoire au Championnat d’allemagne de gym-nastique artistique par équipe du 30 novembre à Karlsruhe, a été la culmination sportive de la saison 2009 du KtV straubenhardt. Pour la saison 2010 à venir, l’équipe s’est fixée comme objectif d’entrer dans la finale de la ligue à Berlin. son entraîneur alexei Grigoriev aura l’embarras du choix, car le noyau dur de l’équipe reste inchangé.

Pluie de médailles pour les gymnastes du club au Championnat d’Allemagne 2010Les gymnastes du club ont brillé par leurs perfor-mances au 77ème Championnat d’allemagne de gymnastique artistique organisé en septembre 2010 à Berlin. thomas taranu s’est hissé pour la première fois à la 1ère place aux anneaux, agrès de force et discipline préférée du gymnaste, et a décroché une excellente 3ème place au concours général. de son côté, marcel nguyen a convaincu par sa 1ère place au concours général et au sol – succédant ainsi à fabian Hambüchen – et sa 1ère place aux barres parallèles. Quant à fabian Ham-büchen – handicapé par une blessure – il s’est adjugé la médaille d’or à l’agrès par excellence, la barre fixe.

Shower of Gold for KTV Gymnasts at the Ger-man Gymnastics Championship 2010 With outstanding performances the KtV gym-nasts shone at the 77th German Gymnastics Championship in september 2010 in Berlin. thomastaranu earned 1st place for the first time in his favorite discipline on the rings and took an excel-lent 3rd place on multi-discipline and floor. marcel nguyen was very convincing, winning 1st place in the all-around competition and on the floor - followingin the footsteps of fabian Hambüchen - and 1stplace on the bars. fabian Hambüchen, on the other hand - who participated with a handicap due to aninjury - earned the gold medal on the horizontal bar.

Leistung fordern – den Willen und die Ausdauer zu herausragenden Leistungen fördern!

auch 2010 war es uns eine große freude, den PoLY-raCK tech award für herausragende Leistungen von ingenieurwissenschaftlichen arbeiten an der Hochschule Pforzheim zu verleihen.

erstmals seit Bestehen wurden zwei Preisträger mit dieser auszeichnung geehrt.

sowohl ronny Kienle (informationstechnik) mit seiner Bachelor-thesis „detailentwicklung eines pneumatischen Hochgeschwindigkeitsventils inklusive erprobung“ als auch robin flohr (maschinenbau) mit seiner facharbeit über „die fokuslage an Laserbearbeitungsmaschinen und ihre analyse mit Hilfe systematischer methoden“ konnten die Jury überzeugen.

Beide arbeiten fielen durch ihr exzellentes fach-wissen sowie der gelungenen Kombination aus theoretischer und praxisnaher Lösung auf und trugen damit den jeweils komplexen, interdiszipli-nären thematiken voll und ganz rechnung.

Von der Jury, bestehend aus Vertretern der PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP sowie der Hochschule Pforzheim, wurden außerdem der enorme for-schungsdrang sowie der überdurchschnittliche Wille zur Lösung der aufgabe gewürdigt.

anmerkung:der „PoLYraCK tech award“ wird, neben aus-zeichnungen anderer regionalansässiger und über-regionaler unternehmen und institutionen, jährlich für herausragende Leistungen studierender an der Hochschule Pforzheim verliehen. Primäre Bewertungskriterien sind hierbei, dass die ingenieurwissenschaftliche arbeit, auf der Basis fundierter Kenntnisse, praxisgerechte Lösungen aufzeigt und darüber hinaus, einen interdiszipli-nären Charakter aufweist. der PoLYraCK tech award ist mit € 3.000 dotiert.

also in 2010, it has been a real pleasure for us, awarding the PoLYraCK tech award for excellent scientific engineers work at the “university of ap-plied sciences”.

for the first time, two students were honored with this award.

ronny Kienle (information technology) with his bachelor thesis „specific development of a pneu-matic high-speed valve including testing“ as well as robin flohr (mechanical engineering) with his diploma about „the focal position of laser machin-ing and analysis by systematic methodes“ were able to convince the jury.

the two diplomas showed the expert knowledge of both winners and combined the theoretical and practical solution and a high interdisciplinary character.

the jury – consisting of members of the PoLYraCK teCH-GrouP and the “university of applied sciences Pforzheim” – especially reward-ed the enormous scientific curiosity as well as the above-average will to solve a task.

Comment:the “PoLYraCK tech award” is awarded annually to students of the “university of applied sciences Pforzheim” beside further awards from local and other companies and institutions. Primary criteria for the appraisal of the scientific engineer’s work are the reflection of profound skills, praxis orien-tated solutions and interdisciplinary character. the “PoLYraCK tech award” is endowed with € 3.000.

en 2010, nous avons été très heureux de décer-ner à nouveau le PoLYraCK tech award récom-pensant l’excellence des travaux de sciences de l’ingénieur réalisés par les étudiants de l'école supérieure de Pforzheim.

Pour la première fois, deux lauréats ont été dési-gnés ex æquo.

ronny Kienle (techniques de l’information) et sa thèse de Bachelor « développement détaillé d’une vanne pneumatique à grande vitesse, essai inclus », et robin flohr (Construction mécanique) et son mémoire sur « La position focale des ma-chines laser et leur analyse à l’aide de méthodes systématiques », ont convaincu le jury.

Ces deux travaux sont basés sur de solides connaissances et une combinaison réussie de solutions théoriques et pratiques, contribuant à éclairer parfaitement des problématiques interdis-ciplinaires parfois complexes.

Le jury, composé de représentants de PoLYraCK ainsi que de l‘école supérieure, a particulière-ment mis en valeur la passion de la recherche et la volonté extraordinaire de solutionner la tâche entreprise.

remarque:Le «PoLYraCK tech award», outre les prix attribués à d‘autres entreprises et institutions régionales et interrégionales, sera décerné chaque année pour les excellentes performances d‘étudiants de l‘école supérieure de Pforzheim. Les premiers critères d‘évaluation seront que les travaux de sciences de l‘ingénieur apportent des solutions proches de la pratique, basées sur de solides connaissances, et présentent en outre un caractère interdisciplinaire. Le PoLYraCK tech award est doté d‘une somme de € 3.000.
