HARYANA STATE KURASH CHAMPIONSHIP 2013-2014 A Judo Tournament was hosted by HARYANA STATE KURASH CHAMPIONSHIP

2013-2014 and organized by Haryana Kurash Association on 10 September

2013 at MDU JUDO HALL, ROHTAK. It was affiliated to Kurash Association of

India. Mamta Devi (14903) participated in this Judo tournament and was

awarded by 2nd position through Dilawar Singh, President of Haryana Kurash

Association.

MANTHAN : INDIA'S BIGGEST YOUTH MOVEMENT Manthan was India's biggest youth movement to help set the agenda for 2014 General

Elections. It aims to engage about 1 crore students directly and about 9 crore youth

indirectly over the course of two months. It makes feel proud that college acquired

second position in Manthan as 79 teams from college has registered and were selected

to attend the grand culmination event. And one of the team has also been selected in

top 30.

HCL IT KE SUPERSTARS HCL “IT ke superstar scholarship” contest announced by HCL Learning’s Career

Development Centre (CDC), the training and skill development division of HCL Info

systems Ltd., India’s premier services and ICT systems integration, distribution and

Hardware Company was conducted on 29 August for the students . In total 557

students from various departments appeared for the test of which 198 students have

scored scholarship.

JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2013-2014 Two days Judo tournament was hosted by district Gurgaon Judo Championship

2013-2014 and organized district Judo Association Gurgaon at Ajit Stadium,

near Dhanvapur Village, Gurgaon from 23 to 24 October 2013. Mamta Devi,

(14903) participated in this Judo tournament and was awarded by 1st position

through Rakesh janghu, President of District Gurgaon Judo Association. There

were 100 participant and four fights in between of that participants.

CRICKET GIRLS AND TUG-OF-WAR Sports day was hosted from 24-26 October 2013. The main aim of the sports event

was to provide a platform to the students to present their physical strength. Team from

various departments participated in different events. CSE girls competed with the ECE

girls’ team in the Cricket Semi-Final and emerged victorious. The CSE team defeated

the Applied Science team in the finals of the Cricket Match.

AMBASSADOR FOR AIESEC IIT DELHI ASSOCIATION Aman Purohit (14008) has been selected as a core team member of the AIESEC

DI. With a vision of developing high potential youth into globally minded

responsible leaders, AIESEC founded a pioneering local committee in India in

association with IIT Delhi to form the AIESEC Delhi IIT (AIESEC DI) in 1981.

With an objective of creating leaders for a positive impact on society, AIESEC

Delhi IIT has constantly been striving to develop the potential of young

individuals by providing them with ample growth.

AMBASSADOR FOR WIPRO EARTHIAN Spardha Taneja (14099) has been selected as the EARTHIAN STUDENT

AMBASSADORfor The Earthian Ambassador Program 2013. The main agenda of the

Earthian Ambassador is to introduce the Earthian Program to different schools and

colleges. As a part of this Wipro Initiative the Earthian Ambassador will be provided the

opportunity to mentor the students from both schools and colleges to participate in the

Earthian Contest and discuss their innovative ideas to approach the real world challenges

faced by our environment.

After a series of resume screening and telephonic interviews Mozilla has selected the

following students as its Firefox Student Ambassadors: Vipul Asri (14116), Surbhi

Gupta (14103), Spardha Taneja (14099), Amit Gupta (14010), Aman Purohit

(14008), Nishant Narula (14123), Jyotika Dhingra (14042), Saumya Rastogi

(14088) and Saurav Rastogi (14089). Firefox Student Ambassadors are individuals

who are passionate about Mozilla and raise awareness about the many benefits of

Firefox and other Mozilla products - especially Firefox OS!

AMBASSADOR FOR TWENTY19 SpardhaTaneja (14099) and Surbhi Gupta (14103) were selected as the Twenty19

Campus Ambassadors. The program aims to educate the students about the importance

of internships and extra-curricular activities during the college tenure. The Twenty19

Campus Ambassador Program is built to maximize the learning experience and provide

a powerful networking platform by bringing together some of the best student minds

across the country to collaborate and share ideas. The program is designed to enable

amazing hands-on experience in Marketing, along with mentorship & learning through

continuous interactions with the dynamic start-up team at Twenty19.com

AMBASSADOR FOR NIIT Sandeep (15094) has been selected as a Brand Ambassador of NIIT with an objective

to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

MICROSOFT STUDENT PARTNER Prerna Mangla and Shilpa Yadav (14092) has been selected as Microsoft Student

Partner for the campus and was invited for the Bootcamp 2013. Microsoft

Student Partner(MSPs) are assumed to further share the knowledge among the

academic community by arranging courses; and giving presentations and lectures

among students. MSPs get an opportunity to grow a vibrant student technology

community in their institution.
