The AX50 is tted with a
large, recoil absorbing,
butt pad or increased
comort. The user can
easily customise the
length o pull using the
10mm butt spacers
included.
Action
A proprietary, fat
bottomed, high grade
steel action is bolted to
the ull-length aluminium
chassis. A ull width recoil
lug totally eliminates
movement, ensuring that
zero will be maintained in
arduous conditions. Two
pressure release points
minimise blowback in the
event o a cartridge ailure.
The integral Picatinny Rail
provides an internationally
accepted interace or
many optical systems.
AdjustableCheekpiece
A height adjustable,
cheekpiece is tted as
standard and allows the
user to obtain an optimum
cheek position when using
night vision equipment or
telescopic sights with large
objective lenses.
Triggerassembly
The two-stage trigger
allows a large sear
engagement to be
maintained until the rst
stage is taken up, thereby
reducing the risk o an
accidental discharge.
Adjustable or pull weights
o 1.5-2.0kg (3.3-4.4lb),
the trigger can easily be
removed or cleaning by
simply loosening two
socket-head screws.
Rearobservationsupport
The extendable rear
support enables the user
to observe the target
area or extended
periods with minimal
atigue. Designed
with quick and ne
adjustment to a
maximum extended
length o 50mm (2").
Saetymechanism
The two-position saety
blocks the ring pin and
locks the bolt in the closed
position when to the rear,
and allows the weapon to
re in the orward position.
The saety will only
operate when the bolt is
cocked.
New stockdesign
The new external stock
design acilitates a secure
yet comortable shooting
position and greatly
improves the users ability
to carry and move with the
rife. The polymer stock
sides are impervious to all
normal cleaners and
lubricants used in small
arms maintenance.
Bolt
The 30mm diameter
steel, close tting
bolt, combined with
vents and a gas shroud
minimises blowback in
the event o a cartridge
ailure. The short-throw
(60) handle lies close to
the stock side, just above
the trigger, to minimise
movement o the users
hand.
Folding chassis
The chassis eatures
a wear compensated
hinge so the stock can
be olded or parachute
insertions or to acilitate
transportation. The stock
locks in the olded
position or security and
the avoidance o noise,
and is easily released by
pulling rmly on the butt.
When olded, the overall
length is reduced by
254mm (10").
Barrel
Screwed into the action
with a large, 39mm
diameter thread, the
rigidly mounted 27" match
grade ree foating barrel
delivers consistent cold-
shot perormance.
The double chamber
muzzle brake, screwed
on and tension clamped,
eectively reduces
recoil, muzzle fash and
dust eruption. A barrel
can be changed in less
than ten minutes using
the barrel change kit.
Sling points
Three sling attachment
points are provided as
standard. The two
orward sling points can
be moved according to
user preerence.
Magazine
One ve-shot detachable
steel magazine is
included. This industry
leading design is
corrosion resistant and
low riction or reliable
eeding.
Pistol grip
The ergonomically
advanced pistol grip.
Forend railsystem
Free foating tube orend
eaturing a keyhole
slot system or quickly
and securely attaching
modular rail sections
allowing the user to t a
virtually unlimited variety
