    My name is Cody Logston. I was born inpril of 1997 and live with my parents,

    Tom and Lori Logston, and my youngersister, Kayla. We live on a small farm out-side of Lewisville where we raise beef cat-tle.

    I am a member of the M.O.B. Squad 4-H

    Club and have been showing beef feedercalves for the past five years. This projectis very rewarding as I am responsible forraising healthy calves to be shown and soldat the Monroe County Fair.

    I have been playing basketball since thethird grade and really have enjoyed beingon the Monroe Central Seminoles team asa freshman. I love hunting, fishing andcamping with my family and friends.

    I plan to go on to college.I think I was chosen because I pay atten-

    tion in class and treat my teachers withrespect. Cody Logston

    Ciara Smith is the daughter of Randy andonnie Smith and lives on a farm nearewisville. She is a freshman at Monroeentral High School and maintains a 4.0PA.Ciara then began her elementary educa-

    tion at Skyvue. At Skyvue, she receivedany awards. She was the Patriot Pen

    ssay winner, D.A.R.E. essay winner, haderfect attendance many nine weeks andeceived principals list. She was also a partf the talented and gifted program. Sheraduated co-valedictorian of her eighthrade class. She has a younger brother,yan, who is also an honor student andttends Skyvue Elementary.

    Ciara is a member of the Seminolescheerleading squad where she has cheeredfor varsity football, basketball and compe-tition. She began her cheering career as athird grader for the Skyvue Hawks. Shesays, I enjoy cheering very much because

    get to compete, meet different people, andmake new friends. Ciara is also a memberof the Key Club, French Club and ArtClub. She is in gymnastics.

    During the summer months, Ciara isbusy on the family farm and is involvedwith her 4-H Club, the Cross County

    Classics. She has held different offices forher club which she says makes me feellike Im making a difference. Ciara is avery active member and shows feedercalves at the county fair. Living on a farm,there is never a dull moment. There isalways something to do. It makes you havea good work ethic, she said.

    Ciaras goal is to continue to work hardto expand her education. She would like tograduate with high honors and be able toattend the college of her choice. She said,Education is a very valuable resource. Iwould like to become a teacher somedayand make a difference for someone else.

    Church of Christ near Woodsfield. In herspare time she enjoys art, reading, baking,babysitting and spending time with familyand friends.

    She says, I think I was chosen for thishonor because I try my best and give 100percent all of the time. I try to set goodexamples and be a role model for others.

    Although Ill be sad to leave, Im look-

    ing forward to attending Wheeling Jesuit

    University for nursing.

    I have received honors as a member of

    the National Honor Society; State of Ohio

    Laws of Life essay winner; two-time

    Barnesville soccer MVP.

    I am a guitarist for Beallsville High

    School rock band.

    I am a member of St. Johns Church,

    Miltonsburg.

    My hobbies are soccer and hanging out

    with friends.

    I believe I was chosen for this honor for

    a couple of reasons. One reason is because

    I strive to do my best at everything I

    attempt. Second because of my determina-

    tion to do well.

    My name is Kyle Groves, son of TeresaRoab and Rusty Groves.

    I like to spend my time with my friends,playing sports and riding four-wheelers. Inschool my favorite class is chemistry. I

    have honors for first team OVAC footballand I led OVAC in sacks.

    My extracurricular activities are foot-ball, basketball and track.

    My name is Mikaela Headley, daughterof Don and Ruth Headley of Beallsville.My grandparents are Charles Lynn andPearl Hudson. I am a junior at BeallsvilleHigh School.

    I enjoy horseback riding and spendingtime with my boyfriend, friends and fami-ly.

    I care for my Grandma Headley on theweekends.

    My favorite class in school is anatomywith Mrs. Fry. Honors are: two-timeAmericanism test winner; two-year mem-ber of Student Council and member of

    Morgan Marley

    Enjoys Softball and VolleyballI am Morgan Marley, daughter of John

    and Marilyn Marley. I have a brother andsister, Michael and Miriah. I also have oneniece, Makenna Marley.

    I go to Beallsville High School and ama sophomore with a GPA of 3.796.

    I play softball and volleyball. I am amember of the County Liners 4-H groupand the United Methodist Church inBarnesville.

    I have been on the principals list, firsthonors, Destination Imagination andOVAC second team. I was on studentcouncil from fifth to eighth grade and Iwas the treasurer for my 4-H group.

    I babysit a lot and my future plans are togo to college to be a physical therapist.

    I like to ride four-wheelers, play volley-

    ball, softball and visit my family.

    Tristan Cole Palmer

    My honors include the Spirit of DIaward, beginner and intermediate show-manship winner, eighth grade class saluta-torian; numerous all-star sports teams,been on the honor roll and principals list.I am class president and president of my4-H group.

    Extracurricular activities are football,basketball, DI, 4-H, pee wee and jr. highfootball and basketball, six years; pee weebaseball eight years; 4-H for seven years.

    I babysit part-time and mow grass.I plan to attend Annapolis Naval

    Academy and pursue a career in theMarines. My hobbies are music and video,hunting and fishing.

    I think I was chosen because I haveworked hard in school.

    Jessie Truex

    Member of the ChoirI am Jessie Truex, daughter of

    Lawrence and Elaine Truex of Beallsville.I am a freshman at Beallsville HighSchool.

    Extracurricular activities include choir,tutor for two years; homemakers cakewalk.

    I plan to go to college to pursue a degreein elementary education. I am a memberof the Church of Christ.

    My hobbies are watching movies andtalking with my friends.

    I have grown up living on a beef farm.Ever since I can remember I have beenresponsible for caring for animals. I haveattended Beallsville since kindergarten. Ihave made honor roll since sixth grade. Ihave won several top of the class awards.I have participated in choir for a year. Iwas a tutor and was a teachers helper fortwo years. I have helped with the NewCastle Homemakers cake walk for several

    years.

    Laikyn Tubaugh

    2nd Team District in SoftballI am Laikyn Tubaugh. I am a sopho-

    more of Beallsville High School and carrya GPA of 3.839 (2011-2012 school year).My parents are Rick and Tina Tubaugh. Ialso have an older brother Ricky and ayounger brother Riley.

    I participate in softball, volleyball andstudent council. I also help Miss Frye withthe little kids activity day on the last dayof school.

    I have been recognized with three dif-ferent awards: Renaissance Award forDestination Imagination (DI), Certificateof Excellence and 2nd Team DistrictSoftball award.

    I try my best in school because I plan togo to The Ohio State University to pursuea degree in physical therapy. I was vale-

    dictorian of my class in eighth grade.I have held offices in Student Council

    (for five years), Destination Imagination,co-president for my class.

    I babysit part time. My hobbies are rid-ing four-wheelers, playing sports andbabysitting and drawing when Im bored.
