Cambridge School, New Friends Colony
Monthly Report November 2018
A. Outings During the Month
The school organized an educational trip for the students of Class IV to KIDZANIA, a
global indoor theme park situated in Noida. This place inspires and educates children
through its 90+ role-playing activities. Built like a city for children, it has paved roads,
battery operated cars, buildings, a fuselage of an A320 airplane, a functioning economy &
its own currency. Each activity is specifically designed to develop different behavioral skills
and values. It was a fun filled day for all the students who went.
B. Sports
On every children’s day, an athletic meet is done for all classes from Nur – V. Flat races,
relay races and fun races were some of the races organized for the students.
C. Academic and Co-Curricular Work
English
The Book of the Month Quiz was held for class IV. Moin And
The Monster by Anushka Ravishankar was chosen for class
IV. The students who did well in the quiz were given
appreciation slips at the end of the event.
An outstation trip to Ranthambore (Rajasthan) was organized for the students of class IV
and V. It was a two day trip wherein the students got an opportunity to explore the
Ranthambore forest on canters. The students saw various animals like the spotted deer,
sambar deer, langur, crocodile, alligator and many migratory birds. Some were even lucky
to see the tiger.
D. Events within the School
A special assembly for Diwali was presented
by the children of class III A. The assembly
started with a dance - the Ganesh Vandana,
followed by a poem. The students highlighted
the importance of having a pollution free
Diwali with the help of a skit. The assembly
finally ended with some beautiful Diwali
songs.
As a prelude to the Diwali assembly, the
school had its diya painting festival, where
the children painted some very beautiful
diyas.
A special assembly by the staff was done on November 14 to celebrate Children’s Day.
The assembly had a blend of singing, dancing and drama. The children were seen enjoying
every bit of the program.
Class 3 C presented an assembly on the
occasion of Guru Purab, the birth of the first
Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The assembly
started with the children singing the ' shabad',
followed by a small skit based on the life of Shri
Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The children of class V presented a theatrical play ‘Alibaba and the Forty Thieves’. The
play had music, dance and drama. It was a power packed performance with beautiful
Arabian music and graceful dances, enjoyed immensely by the children as well as the adults.
The play was directed by Mr. Piyush Kumar.
E. Inter School events
Cambridge School, Noida had organized its Inter – school competition called
Image 2018 : The Quest – Anveshan,
Our school participated in the following events -
¹ Group Folk Song Competition – 10 children participated
¹ Group Folk Dance Competition – 12 children participated
¹ Various art competitions
¹ Story Telling – One child
¹ Hindi Kavita Vachan – 8 children participated
