Commander has a long lineage in antenna production, having taken over the manufacture of the venerable Station Master and Super Station Master (Phelps Dodge, Celwave, RFS) product line in 2006. That line was eventually bought by Commander and this successful antenna family is still available through Primus today. Commander recognized that there is a need for lower gain antennas that can hold up in any wind and weather conditions. There are a few very well established products available for this application but the price point has crept up over the years. In March 2018, Commander introduced the 150-5N extreme site antenna! Applications for this design tend to gravitate to high sites where fill in of canyons and valleys is desired rather that high gain horizon coverage. This new product matches spec for spec with existing UPS shippable, mountain top grade antennas - but at a noticeable price savings. The 150-5N is available in inverted models, can be supplied with an optional black finish for ice shedding, and comes with oversized heavy duty clamps. Surge protection is superior to other models with the inclusion of a lighting spike. Contact Primus today for a quote on the Commander 150-5N at 800-435-1636 or [email protected].
