There is absolute beauty working with decorative stitches from your sewing machine combined with machine em-broidery. Crocheting embellishments is another way to
add flair to your project. �ere are many different tools to ac-complish all creative ideas. Using stabilizers to secure decora-tive stitches as well as embroideries are very important, using the proper needle for every technique, and decorative feet to get the maximum potential of all of your sewing feet that you might have. Many times sewing feet sit in our sewing room, perhaps unused, when they are what makes or breaks a project for that one of a kind look.
Each of the sections indicated on the bed scarf can be done in a variety of fabrics and different decorative threads and ribbons. Use your imagination. Make it in your favourite colours! To complement the bed scarf is the creatively unique pillow that has been yarn couched like the bed scarf. Home decorating projects can be sew simple, yet elegant for any room in your home. I like the idea, that just a simple bed scarf and embellished pillow, can be added to a variety of pillows you already have to enhance the room and a very simple duvet. Much of the creative flair is in the bed scarf, so the duvet can be kept simple.

Designer Jo Gatenby has been amazed, over the years, by the things people collect! Turtles, unicorns, dragonflies…and yes, frogs! So there may be more charts like this one coming in the future, because once she does something for one group of collectors the others inevitably say “Hey, wait a minute…” And since this seemed like a great idea for the front of a shirt, that’s how she finished it!

at the Battle of Beaver Dams. Laura and her husband, James, were very poor. Instead of portraying her in her everyday clothes, I decided to portray her in nicer clothes (white or off white) in which she may have met the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII.
