Holy Father’s Prayer Intentions - June Evangelization – The Way of the Heart

We pray that all those who suffer may find their way in life, allowing themselves to be

touched by the Heart of Jesus.

The Instructions for the Celebration of the Sacraments When Gatherings Begin and this Summary are helpful tools for creating safe and healthy environments for the celebration of Mass and the sacraments. Since the ability to gather publicly is a gradual process, the Instructions and Summary may need to be altered to accommodate each new phase of re-opening. Communication of regular updates is, therefore, key to the observance of these necessary safety procedures. For more info, please visit our website or the diocese:

https://www.syracusediocese.org/about-us/corona/

The Elizabeth Ministry is here at St. Francis. This ministry is extremely important for it affirms that

every member of the church has gifts and talents to build up the entire community.

What’s Happening This Week at St. Francis

Hopefully, St. Francis will be opening for public Masses on June 13 & 14 for 50 people. Parishioners will need to review the safety instructions and sign up prior to the weekend. More information can be found in this bulletin, website or Facebook.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Light Our Future Capital Campaign We appreciate your continued support of our St.

Francis Capital Campaign. Our goal is $375,000 and we have collected $145, 158 (with pledges: $205,509).

To our St. Francis Xavier Parish family: First, thank you all for your patience and prayers as we work through how to safely open our parish for public Masses again. To date we can still only have 10 people at any one Mass (we are hoping and praying that this will change soon). We will try to resume public Masses June 13 & 14. As we move forward, we need to introduce the sign up system and review detailed safety measures. This information will be shared on the website, Facebook, group email and a mailed letter. We would also like to remind everyone that we are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass until further notice. If you are uncomfortable with attending any group gathering, or have a preexisting medical condition that would make your more susceptible; or are ill or have any symptoms of covid19; please stay home and take care of yourself. You will still be able to view weekend Mass on our Facebook page or through the link on our website under events. SIGN UP – 50 people only (Saturday June 13th 4:30 / Sunday June 14th 8:30 & 10:45) The link will be posted on the website under events, posted on Facebook and sent via email. If you cannot sign up online, please call Roxanne Taylor at (315) 575-0806. Please sign up for Mass by 5pm Thursday as we need a record of who will be attending what Mass. If someone has not signed up or called in they will not be allowed to attend that Mass. Due to the current limited spaces, please sign up for only 1 weekend Mass and allow others the opportunity to attend Mass the following weekend. Also, we are hoping to schedule weekday Masses soon. SAFETY MEASURES (listed to the right)

I know that all of this seems odd, even strange, but this is what we must do so that we can begin to re-open our Church for public Masses and keep everyone safe. I also want to extend my sincere thanks and deep appreciation for the Liturgy Committee and others who have worked to help put all these required plans into place.

Please continue to pray for an end to this pandemic, and for this parish. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the Rectory before 6 PM at (315) 673-2531. God bless, Fr. Dan and Deacon John

June 7, 2020 The Solemnity of the Most Holy

Trinity Sunday

Scripture Readings Exodus 34:4B-6, 8-9 Deuteronomy 3:52-56

2 Corinthians 13:11-13 John 3:16-18

A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar – As the Father “sent his son into the world” so parents send their children into the world “so that the world might be saved.” This is the missionary role of the Christian family. Your family is a school where your children develop convictions which enable them to make a difference in the world. Question of the Week- A God of Love For Adults: We live within the Trinity whenever we live in love. How does this mystery connect to your daily life? For Children: How do you choose to live as a more loving person?

SAFETY MEASURES 1. Sign up is required to keep the number at 50 and to collect contact information in case someone in attendance has/or comes down with Covid19. 2. Proper social distancing - There will be people at each Mass for helping insure proper social distancing. 3. Hand sanitization - There are automatic hand sanitizers as you enter. Also, feel free to bring your own hand sanitizer from home. 4. Mask wearing is necessary for ALL over the age of 2 years. 5. When you receive Communion, you will be directed to maintain social distancing. Keep your mask on until you are ready to receive Communion. 6. There will be one entrance (the parking lot door) and one exit (the front door of the Church). 7. There is to be no social gathering before or after Mass in the Church, Church parking lot on any Church property. 8. There will be signs posted to help people. 9. There will be no passing of the collection basket; I ask that you place your contribution in the basket provided (we are in the process of getting permanent fixtures for this); also you may still drop off your donation through the mail slot in the Rectory of send it by mail or use the electronic/bank means some of you already have.
