Joining BIG4 in early May, BIG4 Mackay Blacks Beach Holiday Park is perfectly positioned on absolute beachfront, overlooking the southern islands of the Whitsundays. With new villa-style one and two-bedroom accommodation as well as 87 caravan sites across the park’s five beachfront acres, the park offers a range of options according to hosts Michelle and John Young.

“Set on the beachfront, we’re overlooking one of the most picturesque beaches in the region,” says John.

“We’re a little oasis, with just the right balance of shady surrounds at the park and sun at the beach. Our guests love to try beach fishing, taking a stroll on the untouched sands of Black Beach, or generally relaxing and unwinding.”

The park’s modern facilities include a splash pad water play area and full in-ground swimming pool as well as a new amenities block.

BIG4 Mackay Blacks Beach Holiday Park will be live and available for booking on BIG4.com.au later in May. In the interim, bookings can be made by contacting them on 07 4954 9334.

Due to open in August 2016, the spectacular Rivershore Resort will be south-east Queensland’s newest BIG4, featuring 70 spacious camping/caravan sites and 15 luxury safari tents and a fully licensed restaurant and bar. According to co-owner, Bernie McGovern, Rivershore Resort is the first new caravanning resort in south-east Queensland since the late 1970s and offers glamping, camping and caravanning options. “We are pleased to offer modern facilities without skimping on style to all our guests with our jewel being an amazing resort-style pool; inclusive with lap lane and two water slides. Our prime location on the Maroochy River front and abundance of leisure activities will ensure we appeal to holidaymakers Australia wide,” says Bernie. “Importantly, we’re ensuring the sense of space with our extra-large, spacious, all-grass sites so you are not camping a few feet from your neighbour." http://www.big4.com.au/caravan-parks/qld/sunshine-coast/rivershore-resort
