Highly advanced pumps with many unique features.The Grundfos SL1 range with S-tube impeller are technologically advanced pumps designed forhandling wastewater, process water and unscreened raw sewage in heavy-duty municipal utilitiesand industrial applications. These heavy-duty pumps are built for years of trouble-free operation inthe most demanding applications.The pumps are for submerged installation, and are extremely reliable and very easy to service.The efficient S-tube impeller provides free passage of solids up 50 mm. This greatly reduces therisk of clogging and ensures maximum up-time and reduced operating costs.

In spite of their good looks,these highly efficient pumps are designed for years of trouble-free operation in the toughestenvironments. Easy to install and easy to service, the SL1 pumps ensure low long-term operatingcosts.

Watertight cable connectionPolyurethane-filled stainless steel cable connection, hermetically sealed. Ensures that liquidcannot penetrate through the cable into the motor.

Short rotor shaftCompact motor construction with short rotor shaft reduces vibrations. Increases efficiency andlifetime of shaft seal and ball bearings.

Double mechanical shaft sealEfficient single-unit cartridge shaft seal system ensures longer operating time and less down-time.Easy to replace in the field without use of special tools.

Replaceable wear ringEasy replaceable stainless steel wear ring on S-tube impeller and rubber seal ring in the pumphousing enable maintaining maximum pumping efficiency without replacing impeller.

ConstructionExtremely robust construction, with a smooth surface which prevents dirt and impurities fromsticking to the pump.

Stainless steel clampUnique stainless steel clamp assembling system enables quick and easy disassembly of pumpfrom motor unit. No tools required. Provides easy access for service and inspection.

Operating conditionsThe Grundfos SL1 pumps are suitable for continuous submerged operation with a liquid level tothe top of the motor, or intermittent submerged operation with a liquid level to the middle of themotor.

Explosion-proof versionsFor applications involving a risk of explosion, or where otherwise required, explosion-proofversions of the Grundfos SL1 pumps are available.The SL1 pumps are in a II 2 G Ex cd IIB T4 (135°C) explosion protection classification accordingto EN standards 60079-0: 2006 / 60079-1: 2007 / 60079-18: 2004 / 61241-0: 2006 13463-1: 2001/ 13463-5: 2003.The pumps are also available with a Class 1 Zone 2, Exd IIB T4 (135°C) T4 (200°C) Gbclassification in accordance with the IEC 60079-15:1987.

ApprovalsThe SL1.50 pumps have been approved according to DIN 12050-2. The SL1.80 and SL1.100have been approved according to DIN 12050-1, for use in buildings services by the GermanBuilding Technology Institute.
