Children ages 4 years old through 5th grade can join us every Wednesday from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM. Pick up registration forms in the Narthex or register on-line. Leader/volunteer training is Aug 10 and 17 at 6:45pm. Please contact Lynae if you have any questions! [email protected] Operation Christmas Child Update: Praise the Lord! Our new & improved 2016 OCC drive has continued to be successful. Through the summer, the WMU ladies will complete an inventory of all items and update you in the bulletin. We hope this approach has eased the burden of longer shopping lists during the holidays. Please feel free to complete your own shoeboxes. We have ordered 500 boxes and you are welcome to use these boxes as well. Below is a reminder of the suggested list for 2016. Please feel free to shop for any of your favorite shoebox items at any time. OCC bins have been placed in six Sunday School classrooms and in the narthex for you to use. PAGE 2 THE TRIUMPH A PLACE OF HOPE!

I cannot believe the Summer is coming to an end. It has been an incredible time of VBS, Camp, International Mis-sions, and so many other things. Thank you to all who sup-ported our various student opportunities. That being said… the summer isn’t over yet! Upcoming Events: August 2 - Fellowship Night at the Clary Home

August 3 - Our Final Middle School Mayhem August 4 - King’s Island August 7 - Camp Report Night

August 11 - Fellowship Night at the Taylor Home August 14 - Promotion Sunday August 19-20 - Worship Staff Retreat August 24 - Wednesday Night activities return August 28 - Youth Fellowship Returns Fellowship Nights Since we will not have regular Sunday Night and Wednes-day Night activities through the summer, we will be having five Fellowship Nights. These Fellowship Nights will take place in the homes of our church members. They will be from 6-9 pm. Information for each Fellowship can be found in the Student Ministry Bulletin.

Middle School Mayhem Middle School Mayhem is the gathering of all Middle School Students. It is for all upcoming 6th graders (completed 5th grade) and all existing middle school students (completed 6th-8th grades). This is a great time for you to meet and grow closer to other middle school students at UBC and in our community. Middle School Mayhem will include games, snacks, and Bible Study. Be sure to invite your friends! We hope to see you there!

King’s Island We need parents to come with us to King’s Island… if you’d like to come let Allen know ASAP! Each person is responsi-ble to purchasing their own ticket and lunch and dinner in the park. We will leave on Thursday August 4 at 9 am from UBC. Do not be late!

Camp Report Night Please come to Camp Report Night on August 7 at 6 pm. Here we will share about what God did in the lives of our students this summer. Our Ecuador team will be sharing about their experiences overseas as well! Again, thank you to all who have covered our student minis-try in prayer this summer. We have seen God work and do incredible things in their lives this summer. Please begin to pray for our students as they prepare to start a new school year. In Christ, Allen

GAP Christmas Trip 2016 I am thrilled to have the opportunity to once again lead the annual Christmas trip to the GAP!! It’s hard to believe it’s already time to start planning and preparing our hearts for the blessings that will come! Dates are in place and are as follows: Monday through Thursday, December 4th – 8th This is a week of working the Toy store & helping with distribution.

Monday, December 12th This is the Parent Store – where the kids shop for mom and dad

I realize it’s early in the year to begin thinking about Christmas but early planning makes for a successful holiday season! So when you see toys on clearance or an item that would be perfect for one of the teens, or you see a great clearance item for mom or dad, go on and pick it up! Take advantage of those “buy any item get one free” coupons from Harbor Freight. These are great for Dad! As always, any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to working together to make this another successful year of giving and receiving those blessings from God. More information will be coming soon. I want to get the dates into your hands so you can prepare!

If you have questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected].

Blessings, Pat Durham
