The Drive for Reform• Origins-• Many walks of life (political parties, social classes, ethnic groups, and religions)

• Common beliefs• Belief that industrialization and urbanization had created troubling social and political problems• Similar to Populist movement—change corrupt gov. • Different-progressives were middle class people
