Organised by Sunaidi Expo and Conferences, Jewellery Salon is Saudi Arabia’s most luxurious international jewellery and watches exhibition. This annual exhibition takes place in Saudi’s dominant cities – Jeddah and Riyadh.

Held under the patronage of HRH Prince AbdulAziz Bin Faisal Bin Abdul Majeed Bin AbdulAziz Al Saud, Jewellery Salon – Jeddah took place at the Hilton Hotel from 1st to 4th of May 2017. Jewellery Salon – Riyadh, inaugurated by HH Prince Sultan Bin Saud Bin Mohammed Bin AbdulAziz Al Saud, was held at the Al Faisaliah Hotel from 8th to 11th of May 2017.

This year’s editions welcomed more than 80 world-renowned international and local brands from 15 countries and some of the up-and-coming designers from KSA.

The exhibition featured Jewellery Salon Awards, a competition that highlights the talent and creativity of competing designers in the field of jewellery design. The Awards is sponsored by Lapis Jewellery.

Jewellery Salon Awards is a platform for aspiring designers to showcase their talent and creativity in the field of jewellery design. The Jewellery Salon Awards aims to put the spotlight on young designers, who aim to make a mark on the jewellery industry.

The Awards is judged by industry experts and leading jewellery designers such as Mohammed Aldebeyan, Mohammed Alnemer, and Roa Yaghmour in Jeddah, and Mishal Aldebeyan, Mohammed Al Tayyar, and Najla Abdulqader in RIyadh.

SGL SEMINARS NEW DESIGNERS

Solitaire Gemmological Laboratories (SGL) conducted 3 seminars in both Jeddah and Riyadh. The topics were: 4Cs of Diamond, How to Read the Diamond & Color Stone Report and Natural & Synthetic Diamonds and Gemstones.

Seminars were conducted by Mr. Shadi Al Mufleh, Qualified Jewelry Specialist (QJS) and Diamond Grading Professional (DGP), and Mrs. Roa Yaghmour, Graduate Gemmologist and Accredited Jewelry Professional (GIA).

Jewellery Salon 2017 featured an area dedicated for up-and-coming jewellery designers. The exhibition higlighted the works of 7 designers in Jeddah and 7 designers in Riyadh.
