IMPS! Those are those elusive things that keep you from winning a board which keeps you from winning the Match. That overtrick the other pair made and you didn’t is worth an imp. Why is it important to be in a vulnerable game? [+170 and –620 = -10 imps). Setting a vulnerable game at your table for a +100 and your partners making it at their table for a +620 is a real nice swing [+12]. IMPS to Victory Points is the scoring method used in the O/2000 fields in the National Swiss Teams Game. Here’s how it works: 1. Score the board as you would in any other Team Game. Ex. +50 and +420 = 470 = 10 imps

which gives you 14 vp’s (Victory Points) and your opponents get 6 vp’s. 2. You write on the ticket the number of imps you won or loss. The captain initials the ticket

and winning captain turns in both tickets. 3. When the tickets are turned in, they results are put into the computer and the matches

for the next round are made and the score calculated.
