    Alterations:

A+or the first row Af ou wish to add more %etals$ increase the chain count b 3 chain stitches at

    the beginning of the first row$ for each %etal! +or exam%le$ 3I %etals means 3I x 3 - ''4 chains!

;lus$ add 4 chains for each calculation$ as the first row starts with s,i%%ing the first 4 chains (this

    creates one %etal)! +or exam%le$ if the total chain count is ''I chains$ it will create 3J %etals! 9

    formula$ if ou will$ is as follows [the number of %etals ou want] x 3ch N 4ch

2 Af ou wish to change the sie of the %etals$ ou need to ma,e more/less double5crochet stitches

at the last row (row 3) into the 25ch s%aces! He%ending on the thic, ness of our arn$ ou can start

with ma,ing$ for exam%le$ '=dc into each %etal$ and then graduall ma,e less and less dcs into each

%etal$ or e#en ma,e the same amount of dcs into each s%ace$ creating %etals that are all the same

sie! est out how the %etals are di#ided into each rolled5u% laer (for instance$ if ou ma,e '=

%etals that all ha#e Jdc$ the will create the base for the rose$ then the next rolled5u% laer will be

smaller$ so ma,e fewer %etals with less dc in them)! suggestion is that ou should ma,e a lot of

medium5sied %etals in the middle of the stri%$ with 1 or 7 dcs in them$ and about one or two laers

of bigger %etals for the base$ and 8ust a few smaller %etals for the center of the rose$ where the roll isthe tightest! (ou canDt reall tell how man dcs each %etal has in the finished %roduct$ so this isnDt
