    All visitors now need to be buzzed

    into the building by a school staff

    member. The camera and door bell

    are located to the right of the main

    doors. All visitors will still be re-

    quired to check in at the front office

    and show identification. This new

    system will allow all of the outside

    doors to be locked during the

    school day.

    4:15 pm Rachel Heide, currently the Principal at Brentwood Middle School in

    Greeley, will be the new Assistant Principal at Erie Middle School for

    the 2013-2014 school year.

    Ms. Heide will be attending our next PTO meeting on Monday, May

    6th for a meet and greet with parents. The PTO meeting starts at 7:00

    pm in the EMS Library and all are welcome to attend.

    Starting Monday, SOS is running a

    doggy-drive for the Humane Socie-

    ty! Bring in dog treats and wet

    dog food for the Longmont Hu-

    mane Society. They are runninglow on supplies, and these sweet

    dogs need our help to keep them

    fed and happy! Look for boxes near

    the office starting Monday, May 6th

    and we can help them, ONE PAW

    AT A TIME! :

    Do you know a child who would love the opportunity

    to play a sport, participate in the arts or go to camp?

    Activities 4 All is dedicated to giving every child a chance to play sports and partici-

    pate in youth activities. Our mission is to encourage kids in Erie, CO to play youth

    sports or participate in activities by removing the barrier of registration fees and

    equipment costs. We provide support for families in need by providing financial assis-

    tance to cover these costs. Applications are available for children kindergarten

    through high school on our website at http://www.a4aerie.org/
