Dear Parents: We are very fortunate to have such an amazing staff at Erie Middle School. I have the opportunity to

see adults going above and beyond to support students academically, socially, and emotionally every-day. There are two recognition programs available that allow parents to nominate teachers whom they

feel are deserving. I wanted to make sure that you have the following information: 1) The Jared Polis Foundation sponsors a recognition program. They will award 8 Colorado public school teachers with JPF Teacher Recognition Awards, which include a $1,000 discretionary award  for the teacher and a $1,500 teacher -directed school grant. Principals, school employees, students, parents and teacher colleagues can nominate a teacher. The nomination deadline is April 5th. Tolearn more please visit http://www.  jaredpolisfoundation.org/  keyprograms/teacher - recognition-

 guidelines.

2) The St. Vrain Valley Education Foundation sponsors a recognition program. They will select three finalists from each school in St. Vrain Valley to attend a wonderful dinner celebration called Tribute to Teachers, and then will select one of the three for an Encore Award. The Encore Award win-ner from each school will receive a small cash award, a certificate of recognition and their name on a

plaque displayed in the lobby of the Educational Services Center. In addition, the Foundation will choose three Encore Award winners from across the District, and give them a Spotlight Award. Thenomination deadline is March 14th. To learn more about the Encore Award Program and to nominatea teacher please visit bit.ly/VJKwMh

Thank you in advance for your willingness to nominate a well deserved teacher! If you need infor-mation or assistance to fill out a nomination, please feel free to give me a call or send an email!
