Prime beneficiaries can be seen for eye care on an annual basis. TRICARE Standard beneficiaries can be seen as well but are eligible every two years. To schedule an

COMMISSARY- Scholarships for Military Children, With Feb. 22 deadline, there’s still time to apply! The Scholarships for Military Children Program awards $1,500 scholarships to students from military families. Eligibility requirements, application forms and other

information about the scholarships can be found at www.militaryscholar.org . This year’s applicants must submit an essay and applications must be turned in to a commissary by

close of business Feb. 22. The scholarship program is administered by Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to service members and their families.

FORT RILEY COMBINED SCHOLARSHIP - Undergraduate college and vocational school

scholarships are offered to Fort Riley affiliated seniors, current college/vocational students, and spouses of active, retired, or deceased military member(s). Applications can accessed online at www.riley.army.mil, local high school liaisons, and Junction City and Manhattan Military Affairs councils. Application submission deadline must be postmarked NLT 28FEB

If you would like to keep yourself schooled in the Kansas weather every year, the National Weather Service in Topeka presents spotter talks which are open to the general public. Presentations are typically around 90 minutes long, and are given by a meteorologist from our office. Spotter training will focus on storm structure and accurate identification of important cloud features associated with supercell and squall line thunderstorms.

Casting Call

Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Fort Riley, Kansas Location: Riley’s Conference Center

Date/Time: Sat, Mar 23. Doors open at 6pm. Performance starts at 7pm.

Plot: A lovely couple is getting married. At their wedding rehearsal dinner, some

clown is bent on bringing down the tent on this pair. What promises to be a double -

ring ceremony turns into a three-ring-circus, as the couple discovers someone is

trying to eliminate the competition.

Requirements: We are looking for volunteers to work as an “event production team”

and be part of our dinner theater show. No prior performance experience is required.

Workshop participants will assume "roles" in a storyline while being guided through

the improvisational performance process. Youth may also be a part of the

workshop/cast provided they are under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or

authorized adult representative who must also agree to be a workshop participant. All

participants must agree to commit to the entire scheduled workshop week.

Rehearsals will be conducted at Riley’s Conference Center at 6:30 pm on Mar 18-22

and Mar 23 (prior to the show).

How to apply: Complete the attached form and return in person to Mr Brad Carlton

at MWR Special Events, 7867 Normandy Drive (Warrior Zone). If you cannot come

to the Warrior Zone, send your application in advance by e-mail and we can make

arrangements to interview you by phone.

Note: Tickets to the performance are available at both Leisure and Travel Center and

The JCJBA Baseball Academy is in session! Our indoor practice facility gives our local baseball players the opportunity to hone

and improve their baseball skills! Our academy sessions are lead by our competitive program coaches. We also may have

guest clinicians ranging from our JCHS baseball coaches to college coaches and players. Past clinics have also featured a

former Major League Baseball player and MLB hitting instructor!
